Big game for Julius Saturday night?

Julius rushes the ball very well against two teams...Seattle and Carolina. I think the trend may continue Saturday night, as Jason Garrett and the Cowboys may seek more balance offensively. And of course, bring in Marion to finish it off in the fourth quarter!

I agree and would not be surprised to see Jones have a big game. For whatever reason he seems to have big games vs. the Seahawks and Panthers. One thing for sure Jones is due for a big game thus far his longest run from scrimmage this season has been 25 yards

Is anyone doing any net-casts of the game? It would be greatly appreciated.

when was the last time julius had a big game?

he's currently #37 this year among rb's, the son of "huggy bear" is having a better year in oakland, travis "do i toke it up or not but it doesn't matter i'm always injured anyway" henry is having a better year as well.

but since he's averaging around 40 yards a game, i guess a breakout game would be in the 60-70 range. : )

i'd love to see julius run it up but hell, we simply don't run much (and there's likely a reason for it other than garrett being stupid and/or hard headed) so even in a contract year, with what jones has shown to date it's just not much.

i'll wager we see more of the same from jones.

Jason G does not seem to care about establishing our running game.

just so i can be clear on your latest nugget of wisdom - is this because (in your "expert opinion")

1. garrett is overlooking it
2. garrett is stupid
3. we don't have much of one to use
4. romo is our offensive weapon so we use him more
5. you're trying to find a new 'whine'
6. or a combo of 2 and 5 would be your best bet?

Great point. Julius has always come up big in Carolina. Loved that long run he broke for a TD in 2005.

When I said Jones having a big game I was referring to breaking the long run something he has not been able to do this season. I do think if Dallas can show early on the ability to hurt the Panthers with the run that Garrett will be more inclinded to run the ball.

I'd be shocked if either running back had a great game. Not because of ability, but because they won't commit to one or the other and just leave it at that, much less commit to the run game period.

I don't care their distributed, but they need to get at least 30 carries in this game. Take the pressure off Romo's thumb.

A majority of the time, long runs are predicated upon a consistent run attack. We don't have that. Unless Dallas commits to establishing a running game, tose long runs, IMOH, won't happen.

I'm just saying I would not be shocked to see Jones have a good game vs the Panthers if others feel different great we will see this Sat. Jones has ripped off some big runs on Carolina off draws. I think Garrett will be more committed to the run if the backs can show the ability to hurt the Panthers with the run.

At the rate we are running, MB will not get to 1000 yds. When averaging almost 5 yds per carry and NOT reach 1000 yds in 16 games is PATHETIC.
We need to run the ball more. ANd when doing it leave a back in for a full quarter- give JJ first and 3rd and MB 2nd and 4th; or vice versa.

Unless wade puts his foot down we are not going to run the ball even 20 times a game, Redball just does not WANT to run the ball- no matter what he says. The proof is in the stats.

I doubt this team will lean on the running game Saturday. It is even less likely that Julius Jones will have a breakout game.

Hopefully Jason Garrett doesn't have rabbit ears and let the fans and media dictate his play calling.

This offense Saturday should be about Tony Romo, Terrell Owens, Jason Witten and a sprinkle of Hurd and Crayton. We need to establish the run and feed Barber often, but our strength is the Pass Blocking, Romo and pass catches.

Maybe

Doesn't change the fact that we are 12-2.

If Romo is his normal self, like he has been most of the season, the Eagles game is not even close.

If IF IF. Point was ROMO WAS NOT his normal self and we did not adjust. REDBALL did not adjust. Despite the FACT it was NOT working he did the same thing over and over again. I HOPE he learned his lesson- but I am not confident he did.
