Unless wade puts his foot down we are not going to run the ball even 20 times a game, Redball just does not WANT to run the ball- no matter what he says. The proof is in the stats.

I agree last couple of games Dallas got away from the run however this team still avgs 26 carries a game despite the fact we have not been running much over the last 2 weeks

He'll get like 4 carries for 24 yards on the opening drive and then won't touch the ball again till the third quarter

Adjust? Yes, he failed to do that.

Too few Running plays? Not sure.

There is absolutely no proof that the running game would have been the answer against the Eagles and vice versa.

At the end of the day, I believe Romo would have still had to make some plays with his arm and he proved he absolutely couldn't do it, pre/post injury.

We lose one game against an inferior opponent and people start to turn on the Play Caller. The guy is 12-2.

This team is just fine.

This offense should go through Jason Witten, Terrell Owens and our Pass Blockers.

We need to feed the barbarian but I just don't think the offense should go through him.

We lost because Tony Romo had the worst game of the season, maybe even his career. The guy was absolutely horrible and was off the entire game, which the latter is what seperates his performance against the Bills and the Eagles.

I agree to a certain extent but in the last 2 games Barber has had 7 carries down 10 to 11 carries from the previous game when Barber put up 81 yards on the Pack and 103 on the Jets. I would like to see more balance in our offense because I think we are starting to get away from that. I don't expect to see Barber with 25 carries and the run offense carry the team but I do think a better balance has to be achieved.

Good post. I agree completely.

I think you could argue we needed to run it more in that one particular game simply because Romo seemed so off. But for the most part, Wade's philosophy of "get the ball in the hands of your best players" makes sense. And who are our best players? Romo, Witten, and T.O. So I don't have a problem trying to get those guys the ball as much as we have.

If you don't believe Wade, look at Belichick, because he's doing the same thing. In a perfect world, would he love to run the ball more? I'm sure he would. But when your QB is your best player, it's crazy to take the ball out of his hands.

I think that's the biggest problem people had with the playcalling. I've got enough faith in Wade and JG that they'll get it done, but when you know Romo is struggling, and the offense is going three and out consistently, even through the 2nd half, then I think you should turn to the run to try to shorten those 3rd and longs.

Romo would still have to make some plays, but maybe it would lessen the pressure some.

True and it was not as if the Eagles were running away with the game with a sizable lead.

It would have not hurt anything to try and run the ball hard in the 3rd qtr. No reason not to try. Just redball being stubborn and myopic.

I'm not sure how he is being stubborn unless others on the sideline was calling for the run and he refused. Other than that I think he saw plays for the taking and this offense not hittin them.
