Big mistake giving up a first rounder

Draft picks are like lottery tickets might win might not Williams is a proven commodity way better!
he also ages, he does nothing for us this year. next year hes older and the body wears down.

youth would have been better in a position like this.

We rarely hit on a 2nd round pick bro and economic opportunity opened up when Micah's agent fleeced GB for 47M a year and we walked.
We our the 2nd youngest team in the NFL with the 2nd most amount of cap space and we still have two #1 round picks in April.

All in right now, it's been too long
It just going to be someone not named Micah Parsons being paid. Every team is held to a maximum paid out in compensation. Every team is held to a minimum they must pay. The team with a definite plan coupled with the ability to manage the salary cap well can get their team in a position to compete in the top echelon of NFL teams.

The Cowboys organization with Jerry Jones as involved as he has always been has proven they are not able to field a bonafide Super Bowl contender in the salary cap era.

Jerry knows what hes doing and he wins at that game.

you dont understand whats going on.

you ll learn afrter another 20 years.
Publicity is the most important thing in Jerry's world. Mediocrity is acceptable as long as he gets the Cowboy fans thinking we are going to the playoffs. Doubtful in my mind. I agree with CBS and ESPN.

When we make the playoffs and go one and done Jerry digs in and runs it back. But let us have the makings of a disastrous season not caused by injuries and Jerry suddenly decides to wheel and deal, just like in 2018. It's mainly a desperate attempt to increase interest and return to relevancy.

Jerry's primary focus is making $$$ and keeping the team relevant. But once we become a fringe playoff team he just sits on his hands because the ultimate goal isn't winning a championship, it's just to be around the rim so the fans stay invested and the $$$ rolls in.

Ultimately though, this trade will come down to how long Q. Williams plays at a dominant level and with a star on his helmet. If it's just 2-3 years then it'll be another of Jerry's failures. He will need to be a force and a Cowboy for at least 5-6+ years to make it worth it.

Got it in time. Last thing we need is more confusion. Before you know it, my mistake ends up across the zone as a “Quinnen sucks” data point.
In your opinion how long has it been since Dallas has had a defensive tackle of Quinnen Williams caliber, and who is the that former player for the Cowboys.

Hmm I think of Guyton, Mazi, Charlton, Claiborne, Carpenter, and LVE as busts! It’s not guaranteed we will draft great players. I’ll take Williams we know what he brings to the table versus tge unknown. Just my opinion.
Exactly what is he bringing to the table?
So far this season he has the same number of sacks and fewer pressures than Osa!

Yeah. And that's the draft that is REALLY loaded with defensive players.

Jerry playing checkers. This was dumb.
So, with our bad record this year shouldn’t our schedule next year be a little softer? I think we get back on track next year and have a decent year and will prolly have a later first rd pick and GB will most likely bd a later pick as well.

will not be 28 until December
There is no reason we cannot get three excellent seasons from him

so frankly your rant is a joke

has 40 career sacks with a high of 12 and has had 6-7 sacks other years then his first

next time do some research before embarrassing yourself

It was a great trade and they have 2 1st round picks next year.
All of the sudden Dallas has a real defensive tackle, Williams and Clark should be nasty I would think. The Cowboys should be able to get pressure on the QB up the gut and yes, stop the run. Those two first rounders in April need to be a DE who can set the edge and pressure the QB and the best free safety available.

sure Jan and players get younger, always immediately take to their new teams and hes going to fit in wonderfully in this scheme, or whatever scheme Eberflus runs next year.

Jerry loves you

Lol,
What have you done for me lately?

But hey, let’s pay players for past accomplishments with other teams is an attitude that is pervasive in this low IQ fan base!

Mazi set this team back. we all clamored for them to go DT high and help out a parsons led defense. they did it and failed. i’m just fine with them getting a bona fide stud in the middle of this defense.

This, Mazi and Taco has really killed this D and add the 2nd round pick from UCF, that should be 3 starters right there and none are on this team. Those high value picks will kill any team.

You'd have to think... hmmm.. why would they want to wait a year to get that 1st?

This is based on the idea that Jerry and the boys would hit on the first round pick if we kept it

That's a very big if based on recent history

I understand about the grief of giving up a first round pick for 2027… but think of it this way, a first round pick by Jerry does not guarantee a great player.. look at recent history.

QW is a great player right now and arguably today’s closest version of Aaron Donald. But he needs help just like Donald did. The kicker now is to follow this up with two starters in this draft. Might at least get this defense to a respectable level.

You’re nuts. Q is a top 3 DT in the NFL. And he’s young. He was absolutely worth what Dallas gave up for him. One of the few “good” moves Jerruh has ever made as a GM.

For me? I might go all the way back to Randy White.

I’m a sucker for Quinnen as I’ve followed the Jets since I was a kid. My grade shoot teams were run by a dad who was a Jets fan and we were the jets through pee wee and pop warner.

Anyway, Glover and Ratliff are both underrated by Cowboy fans I think, mainly because they weren’t on Super Bowl teams and didn’t play on dominant defenses. Jethro Pugh was overshadowed by Lilly and White.

I only said back to the 90s cause I wanted to give people room to not get in their feelings about Maryland/Casillas

I fully expect Coogs to make “rank the tackles” a topic if he reads this, lol

it is and im of the opinion, if possible, Jerry would draft a punter, if for no other reason than to spite the team.

However, if you want to play along with the hard majority as i sometimes do, than FIRST ROUNDERS ARE HOF MATERIAL BABY, CANT MISS.

so, if giving a choice, id still rather go with the draft. Jerry has proven he hates free agency, even tho hes the creator BUT he loves attention more. The draft isnt as sexy to Jerry peacemeal but he still whips the media into a frenzy over it, he just doesnt have to work as hard on it since its their Christmas anyway.
