Big mistake giving up a first rounder

The odds of them drafting someone in the 20s as good as QW is about 1%

I forgot about his brother Quincey......if he is a free agent, I'm sure he will be on Jerry's radar.....

I am not sure you heard or remember but Stephen Jones said after the draft, one of the reasons they drafted EZ so high was to get Parsons some help. That line of thinking may have changed but Hendrickson would certainly fit that bill.
They have always have made Edge a huge priority, just like WR, Corner and OL.

I do think they overpaid. The Cowboys 2nd in 2025 could be near the top of the round. Their own 1st in 2027 could still be in the top 15. That's a lot for a DT who is probably closer to the second tier among DTs than the first.

Some people have what I think is unreasonable expectations for these trades. But stop and look at the facts. The Jets have the 10th worse run defense in terms of yards per carry at 4.5 yards. They give up 135 yards per game on the ground. So while Williams is a good player, I don't think he is going to make such a great impact on the defense. He will help but don't expect miracles.

We gave up a lot for what I think will be a small impact. But still. Having Williams, Clark, and Osa on the field in a 5 man line will be interesting to watch.

we ***** up Micah playing him at edge solely. In my view he was way more effective when he was moved to Linebacker part time. He was a beast in coverage and shooting gaps. But as an undersized edge, he got washed out, bullied, overextended too often and wore down. Thats where we went wrong.

Williams, Clark and Osa all have the same cap impact next year as Micah. Clark and Williams will actually count mores.

There is no “Mazi money”. In fact, trading him results in an immediate dead money hit of nearly $2m
Yeah, but those 3 will also have a bigger impact in the run game than Micah Parson by himself. Getting 3 players is better than one situational pass rusher. Williams is better than Micah if we traded them straight up. He's balanced, and Micah hasn't demonstrated the ability to play the run. Did you watch Carolina vs Packers on Sunday? We probably won on this trade and it might take you until next year to figure it out.
