In my mind, the collapse of this season is attributable to five events that took place. Just wondering which one you think is the primary reason for the downturn.

The ones that popped into my mind (not in order of my opinion):

1. Loss of Flozell - Exit Flozell, enter Torrin. enough said.
2. Loss of Singleton and Dat - Fujita, Shanle, and the rest did not pick up the slack and missed way too many tackles.
3. Loss of Crayton - he was really coming on when he got injured
4. Anthony Henry injury - He doesn't seem the same after and the game he missed we were not good on D.
5. Julius Jones injury - He was doing well up to that point and just hasn't been the same elusive back. No moves, covers the ball way too much when he runs now.

I believe 1, 2, and 4 (in that order) were the reasons for the downturn in the season. Having one hole to plug with Petiti is one thing, but two weak links is a damn about to break.

Thoughts?

On a side note, I expected 8-8 or 9-7 when we started the season, so I shouldn't really be surprised at where we are. But we were 7-3 at one point! was hoping I was wrong. Guess not. :bang2:

I don't think #5 is right. JJ wasn't the same back from the first game. And the running game was marignally better without him, JMO....

You forgot to add kicker woes. Also need to add coaches who lack the Kahuna's to put a game away rather than play conservative and not to lose.

How about this was a 6-10 team last year

We are playing a lot of rookies.

Our Oline totally sucks in both pass protection and run blocking.

Poor game planning in critical spots.

Geez - this is a 9-7 or 10-6 team. I don't see all this down turn you speak of.

Injuries happen to all teams.
