The IDIOTS at ESPN are wrong once again. Cowher has made NO such demands to the Jets about wanting total control. He most likely WILL meet with the Jets. They reported this morning Cowher will not meet with the Jets. They were dead wrong as usual.

I live here in NYC. Mike Francesa who has very trust worthy sources inside the Jet organization and he said Cowher so far has no such demands about wanting total control yet and will most likely will listen to the Jets.

Not even 10 minutes after he reported this ESPN changed their story and ran the story ESPn sources say Cowher will now meet with the Jets.

Now I'm not saying Cowher will take this job and he may want more control then the Jets are willing to give up, but as of now he has made NO such demands. ESPN as usual got it wrong. God I hate that network.

All I heard, was he didn't want to work with the GM in place. The guy who brought Favre to the Jets.

You see....

That's what I like about a guy like Cowher...

He is not going to put his rep on the line unless it's on his terms. Period.

That's why I can accept the fact that TO would have to go if he came to Dallas. Cowher is a real HC. I know he will put us on the track back to respectability.

Smart boy. Like he didn't see the NY tabloids calling for Mangini's head? He can get rich somewhere else without that kind of scrutiny.

If you asked me at mid season if I wanted Cower here I would have said no.
I was hopeful we would win and some of the attitude and BS would disappear.

Now I agree with you. It is exactly what it is going to take. Cower said what he said and now favre is talking retirement. Hmmmmmm
The Jets need cower.

Obviously Jerry wants "continuity" (ie would rather not jettison coaches and pay contract remainders w/a billion plus stadium on the horizon) but there are quite a few worthy candidates this offseason (but w/at least 5 HC openings, they should not last very long):

Cowher
Schwartz
Spagnuolo
Shottenheimer
Ryan
Garrett
Gilbride
Frazier

Not to mention some former hot commodities are/may become available:

Bill Parcells
Gregg Williams
Marvin Lewis
Romeo Crennel
