I agree with Bill, I dont like playing teams three times Dallas can't help what other teams do but we can put the deadskins OUT our self.

I agree with you and Parcells100%. Only guys who cannot physically play should be held out (e.g. Andre Gurode, T.O.). Other than that, put the Skins out Sunday.

I also am with VJZ on his/her line of thinking regarding sitting players against a potential playoff opponent when a team has the opportunity to ensure the opposition doesn't make the playoffs at all.

I think it implies that if you play a team 3 times in a season, they are going to figure out your tendencies and take away your strenghts and magnify your weaknesses. Ever notice how division games are always tough no matter if the team is good or not? We beat the Skins by 5 points last time at home with a fairly healthy team. They didnt have Sean Taylor or Carlos Rogers.

We lost to a 5-8 Eagles team at home.

It has nothing to do with fear. At all. It has to do with the fact that divisonal games are ALWAYS tough because you know the opponent so well that you can usually gameplan for them very well since you know them so well. It isn't fear. It's about the more times you play a certain team, the more they will learn about you and the better chance they have a beating you.

Oh, I understand the logic behind it, but it still smacks of being a little too calculating. We have to do what's in the best interests of the Dallas Cowboys today, not two or three weeks from now. If we end up playing the Skins a third time, so be it. The tradeoff is playing them with a greater assortment of healthy bodies. To put it another way, if Tuna were still at the helm, he would not be playing the starters for 60 minutes this Sunday.

But of course I'm a chicken little for having this mindset so maybe I dont know...

You're nothing of the kind. In fact, I've been admiring your battles with the mindless homers who think nothing of smearing other fans for failing to live up to their warped, narrow "real fan" ideals. Evidently, pointing out flaws or weaknesses is tantamount to wanting Dallas to lose. Insane, no? But .. that's .. what .. they .. do. Psychologists call this displacement; I call it pro-Dallas trolling. Just another day in la la land.

This from a so-called football mind.
Parcells obviously has nothing to lose.
But I guess he's yakking from a fan's point of view, if he's even that.
A more astute observer (ahem, like me) would say: Rest, mend and live to fight another day.
As in the playoffs, when it really matters.

I like the idea of a skeleton crew out there for the Cowboys...Don't like the idea of vital players getting possibly injured in a game that bears nothing for Dallas, win or lose.

Plus, getting Brad Johnson legit reps is an important thing to have working in the event Romo ever can't go in these playoffs.
