I am not bashing BP here.

Its just that. He brings in these old QB's of his past.
Then he sells us the "he gives us best chance to win" - OK I will buy that... but here is the kicker

He also tells us that all he has to do is protect the QB(Vinny or Drew) and give them time. Then all will work out.

Well he failed in getting a O-line that would protect either(mostly Drew) and quite frankly when Drew has had time he has been 50-50 for the most part in Win-Lose Game situations.

Parcells failure is not getting O-Line competitive in 3 years. There are many other things that we can complain about. But we are just awful and its because we have very pedestrian, non athletic and fat guys on the line.

One poster posted that Pettiti and Tucker were like "Turnstiles" to get to Drew... sad but true... I LMAO... then cried...

Then is no reason to think that Carolina will be that much different that the Commanders... you can pretty much get in untouched. This could get ugly and if Smith gets hot. Ooffaa!

Go Cowboys!

That seems to be impossible to some fans around here. BP is supposed to just wave his hand and everything is fixed. Even the almighty Jimmy Johnson took a few years to build a team and he had the advantage of no salary cap and many draft picks to work with.

Have you submitted your resume to JJ...... How much experience do you have in getting o-lines competitive? Can you do it in less than 3 years? :D

While I was totally against signing Bledsoe he has won me over and I'm glad we signed him. One thing I have to ask is what is the alterative? Who is this magical QB that we could of and should of signed? We looked like a good team for a lot of the season and only last week did we truly get beaten badly.

enough already!!!!!! Parcells has had to overhaul the entire roster while still trying to put a competitive product on the field. How many players are left over from the pre bill era where our esteemed general manager wannabe JJones couldnt tell talent if it came and bit him in the a**
Look at the level of talent and compare to 3 years ago and try and tell me that it has not improved light years.
What does a coach usually spout as soon as he is hired?--"it is a 5 year rebuilding program"
My god we are so spoiled and what instant gratification.
Look at the Lions and Cards--they are on 50 year rebuilding programs

As long as this team is better than it was last year, BP has not failed; he's just not done cooking dinner yet. Some people can be patient, some get real antsy when they have to wait. Instant gratification is sweet and delicious but just leaves you wanting more when there's none left.

Patience, grasshoppers.

So parcells is to blame when the line cant block for Bledsoe or the RB's. I sorta agree with PArcells, if you protect him, things will be ok. Problem is, we haven't been able to do that with consistency. But we have seen what happens when you do protect him. Hes pretty good with time to actually look downfield.

I agree he has failed on the o-line because they are no better than they were 3 years ago. And the fact the Qb's brought in rely on a good O-line kind of makes you wonder.

But we can't really put all the blame on the injury to Flozell. Now it was a huge loss in pass blocking. But I don't remember the running game ever taken off before Flozell went down. Now either teams know what running play we going with or the Line just isn't good enough to create running lanes.

Parcells by now should of built an O-line or hire a good O-line coach to manage the type of game he likes to play. Now either he doesn't get it, or it's just been bad luck every year. But it still rests on his shoulders, he is the coach after all.

I was the person that said Tucker and Pettiti were "turnstyles." But even with that comment, I think Parcells has far from failed the fans.

This team was 5-11 for three years straight before Parcells came along. Now they are 25-22. That's going from a .313 winning percentage to a .532 winning percentage.

This team is actually somewhat disciplined and doesn't get in off the field troubles, which is night and day from beforehand. Oh yeah, they show up in shape for training camp, which is nice.

Let's look at the players he's drafted (or undrafted) that he's developed:

Witten (Pro Bowler, only 23 years old)

Julius

Barber

Tyson Thompson

Patrick Crayton

Canty

Spears

Thomas Johnson (only played one game, but I've got a feeling he's going to be real good...but take it for what you will)

Ratliff

Bradie James

Ware

Newman

Reeves

McBriar

Sure, the O-Line has been a problem. In fact, if you were going to point fingers you could take a look at Jerrah and Larry Lacewell who were horrible at drafting O-Linemen in the past 5 years and the draft that really failed at getting O-Linemen (2004 when we took Rogers and Petermann), Lacewell was the head scout for that. Even still, they wound up getting Crayton, Reeves, and Julius Jones out of that deal...along with the Bills' first round pick.

Parcells hasn't rolled sixes with every move, but for the most part he's done a very very good job. It's just when you have an organization that was absolutely futile for the 4 seasons prior and wasn't developing talent of its own, it's harder to rebuild than most people think.

And EVEN WITH THAT, if it weren't for injuries the O-Line would be much better than it is now.

Rich..........

Parcells is to blame for bringing in the most sacked qb in history and not doing enough with the offensive line. But, if you have to over-protect the qb, you sacrifice offensive versatility so that kind of qb becomes a hindrance, especially when he not only takes sacks, but fumbles and that's the reason he didn't like Hutch. So he brings in a qb who does the same things that got Hutch run out of here. Makes no sense.

But Parcells record is 14-16 with 'his guys' and it was 10-6 with the guys who were here already.
