During a press conference Monday, Jan. 23, the Buffalo Bills have officially announced the hiring of Dick Jauron as their new head coach.

Some strange hires this year.

This one, perhaps, wins the award for most uninspired.

GM: 80-year-old Marv Levy.
Head coach: Comatose Dick Jauron
QB: J.P. Losman

Enjoy, Bills fans. :laugh2:

Fairly or not, it's hires like this that get the lack-of-minority head coaches conspiracies going.

I have to agree, but in my email back to Blackistone after his article, I mentioned that he should not label people racists, because they just might be stupid, which I think is the case in Buffalo.

Makes more sense to me than what the Jets have done so far. Levy has had some success and so has Jauron. Makes even more sense than what the Lions have done with Marinelli. Earth to Matt Millen: just because their names begin with an 'M' doesn't mean that their any good. I wonder if he named all his Matt I, Matt II, Matt III or Mathilda or Mary or Millicent.:laugh2:

So much for the glory years in Buffalo.

Ralph Wilson hires Levy to run the show.... forget that he's 80, he has no experience in that area and that he lives in Florida or something....

then he hires Jauron over Mike Sherman (who probably would have brough Jim Bates too)....

I hear Marv was very fond of Jauron when he was doing radio work for the Bears. PLus, Buffalo has a history of hiring the coach they can get the cheapest over the best option.

not a smart way to run a football team.
