All-time leaders

1. D Marino 61361
2. *B Favre 53615
3. J Elway 51475
4. W Moon 49325

5. F Tarkenton 47003
6. *V Testaverde 45252
7. *D Bledsoe 43447
8. D Fouts 43040
9. J Montana 40551
10. J Unitas 40239

Will overtake VT and should pass Tark by season end. Another 2007 season and he's over 50,000 yards at age 35.
Other than Manning there are no other active QB's that will sniff 40,000 yards for close to a decade. So much for modern era......The passing era was more 82-96.......

He needs a Super Bowl Pelt next to the two AFC Champ pelts already hanging. That 2nd Super Bowl ring will be special!

Sometimes I wonder about you Nors. Irvin is a borderline hall of famer but if Bledsoe wins one superbowl you think that's enough to get him in. (Which is not all related by you in this post, but also in previous posts).

Irvin was a much better WR than Bledsoe is a QB, and much more of a game changer and impact player.

I REALLY try hard to ignore the "agenda" stuff, but sometimes.......

Bledsoe could even pass Elway before he retires. If Bledsoe could win 2 SBs for the Cowboys, it would be real tough for HOF pickers to keep him out of HOF. After all Marino has no wins, Favre only 1, Elway 2 and Bledsoe comes along with 2 as well and higher passing numbers then Elway. It might be quandry for Bledsoe whether he goes in Cowboy or NE cause of Cowboy bias; he also probably pick Parcells to speak. Know idea of Bledsoe taking us to 2 SB wins, but sure would tick off HOF selectors wouldn't it? What means would they use to diss Bledsoe?

I don't think this is accurate. Passing yardage, in the NFL, has increased year after year. There are several good young QBs who can eclips these numbers with the right situation. There is not doubt, Bledsoe has accomplished, big numbers in his career, but to say that the passing era was 82-96 is a miss statement of the facts IMO.

BTW, Favre has not announced his retirement just yet. I'd include him on that list until such time as he makes it official.

So you're saying a mediocre QB can throw for more than 43K yards? Hmmmm. Not sure where your rationale is on that one.

BTW, he does have a ring. His injury kept him out that year. Go ahead and let the Brady discussions begin, but I still think you're not a mediocre QB, throw for 43K yards and are in the top 10 ranking.

That's an outstanding accomplishment! Bledsoe will break the 50,000 yard passing mark as a Cowboy by the end of the 2007 season!

With or without a championship he will be a LOCK for the Hall Of Fame when he surpasses 50,000 yards to become the 4'th all time passer in NFL history!!! What's even more impressive is that he will reach that plateau at only 35 years old.

If Bledsoe would play until he was 37 or 38 like Marino, Elway and Gannon he would retire as the number 1 all time QB in NFL history.

Even still, If he does retire after the 2007 season (As I predict he will) he will finish as the 4th all time ranked QB in history and will secure his Hall Of Fame ballot.

Could not happen to a more classy and respectable person who is truly one of the "good guys" in professional sports.

He is the polar opposite of the thugs and ego maniacs that get so much of the press.

The exciting thing is that if we can put a super bowl worthy O-line in front if him then there is a good chance he will retire as a Cowboy and as a world champion. :pray2:

Bring on the 2006 season!!!

Point me out where I call Bledsoe a mediocre QB and I will actually reply to your post.

He'll make the HOF if he doesn't win a ring in Dallas, if he does, then all bets are off.

Drew will probably pass the 200 interception mark and with 12 more could be ranked #20 in category. :D

One thing that the stats don't show. Bledsoe is a tough mutha. Only once has he missed a significant number of games due to injury -- and over the past 4 years he has missed 0 games - despite playing behind lines that rightly should have gotten him killed.

If Drew wins 2 SB's, he should go in as a Cowboy, because that is where he won them. If he retires a Cowboy, and BP is here, or retires at that time. I think he we choose Dallas. Usually they pick where they made their best contribution.

They may decide to diss Drew, because he once threw to a "she" named Terry :laugh2:

On another note, Deion should go in as a Cowboy, because of his length of stay here, and SB win. But he may choose the Falcons just because it was his first team. What would rally be amazing if he chose the one year he played for the whiners.

I bet Bledsoe is in the top 3.

109 Career lost 51. Last year was his worse fumble-wise. But those botched snaps contributed greatly.

Top 3 are Moon (161), Kreig (153), and Elway (137).

This last year was not typical for him

Yes - and at that point he cracks top 5 in TD's too approaching 300:p:

Drew needs 2-3 more good years and a deep playoff run and or SB win to make Hall.

He retires today he's not in for the record. Seeing people starting to speak for me.

You're right. It doesn't help that he gets blinsided at least 3 times a game. Reminds me of Danny White late in his carreer

WooHoo. If he starts another year, Bledsoe will pass Testaverde.

Time to put the champagne on ice boys. We could hold a week-long celebration with a parade and everything for a .500 QB.

He'll never pass Tarkenton in my heart until he gets to co-host a variety show.
