I'm all for a conspiracy theory. He_ll, I live in Dallas. That is the center of the hurricane when it comes to conspiracy theories.

So with this in mind, and listening to Jerry Jones being interviewedboth before and during the game, I came up with another of my @#%$-eyed theories.

Now I am not saying this will transpire.

But what if requires your opinion on this idea.

So here we go.

What if...

Jerry made mention of the team noticing how Bledsoe seemed to wilt at the end of the season.

He also said the team would be remiss to depend on a player who never had taken a snap in a real NFL game, considering their goals for this year.

So, what if during the season, when we face teams who are not going to be the top echelon of the league, we started and played Romo and let Bledsoe have a day off?

Now let me say, nothing in the past ten days leads me to believe Romo is ready. Yet.

But we started Henson against a depleted Bears team.

So, with the schedule below, what if we played it out this way.

@Jacksonville....Bledsoe
Washington....Bledsoe
Bye
Tennessee....Romo
@Philadelphia....Bledsoe
Houston....Romo
N.Y.Giants....Bledsoe
@Carolina......Bledsoe
@Washington....Bledsoe
@Arizona....Romo
Indianapolis....Bledsoe
Tampa Bay.......Bledsoe
New orleans....Romo
@Atlanta....Bledsoe
Philadelphia...Bledsoe
Detroit......Romo

This would give Bledsoe five games off. Essentially an 11 game season.

It also gives Romo at least two weeks to prepare for every start.

It would cut down on the picks and sacks by Bledsoe. It would also cause a team to prepare for both quarterbacks.

Now this may be a crazy idea. We still don't know if Romo can handle a real game.

But with Drew in the wings, and an eye on a fresh Bledsoe in the play-offs - were we to make it.

Would this be an example of forward thinking.

Let me say I doubt Bill would do this.

But what do you say?

LOL! There's no conspiracy, Bledsoe is the man and it's ludicrous to think otherwise regardless of Romo's stellar preseason.

You honestly think they would play musical QB's? Makes no sense whatsoever.

Yeah, it sounds good in theory. It'll have each QB playing their hardest (Bledsoe's afraid of losing his job, Romo wants to show his worth).

The coach won't go for this though....

NOPE NOPE NOPE...

In the NFL there are no sure things. You play your best every week. Any given Sunday... you know the drill. Over a 16 game schedule there are no less important games, at least not when you have playoff positioning still up for grabs.

If we're eliminated fine, otherwise, no chance.

I like the idea of getting Romo some reps in real games...but as far as the breakdown...I don't know maybe a series here and there

I would say Bledsoe starts every game unless he's hurt but I think BP starts to give Romo some playing time when the games are out of reach. I think he thinks Romo can handle some of it now but I don't think BP starts Romo as long as Drew is upright.

I've always thought the theory of starting two different quarterbacks is interesting, especially if they're both highly talented with different skillsets.

Start the mobile guy against the team that can break down the line and start the pocket passer against the team he can pick apart.

But it's a theory, I feel, that is bound for failure in the NFL. Granted, the league is ever changing and innovation is always needed. But this is one area that I feel like there is a reason why teams don't try it more often. It's just destined for failure.

Again, it sounds nice in theory. But what happens when two games are left in the season and our playoff lives are at stake. Who do you start then? Couldn't the "wrong" choice lead to the players losing faith? If we're afraid of TO dividing the locker room, how would this scenario not do just that? Even worse, what do you in the playoffs? Conference championship? Super Bowl?

It'd take a very secure pair of quarterbacks and a very tight-knit group of players to fully buy into such a plan. And I'm not sure any team is fully prepared to do that.

Those 2 paragraphs sum it up best. Just can't see it happening.
