I have no doubt Henson never successfully starts for this team. It was a nice pipedream last season with Vinny leading the stable though- after just replacing Quincy. I mean what do you expect from us, we're Cowboy fans...we grasp for any straw we can when the days are cloudy. Last year, the days were ALL cloudy...and Henson appeared like a sunbeam breaking through....only he was a mear mirage is all.
Hell, we'd be better off grabbing a high-prospect High School Senior...atleast the kid would have playing experiance in game situations.
Drew Henson starting in the NFL is almost laughable. But he could warm our recievers up on the sideline or possibly hold a clipboard...maybe...although Romo is even more qualified to do that.
And next year 2006 supplemental draft, the Dallas Cowboys select....Dave Winfield. Jerry says, "Sure he may be old, but have you seen him throw a ball from right field to home plate...when he was in his prime! The transistion from retired-baseball outfielder to starting Quarterback in the NFL shouldn't be too far of a stretch. *winks* Trust me, we've been evaluating potetial baseball players for our QB position for years, we know raw talent when we see it. *wink*"
Of course that insaneness resembles each and every fan here who still holds out hope for Henson. He's not our next Aikman...hell, he isn't even our next Jason Garrett.
