ZONERS--For all you Bledsoe lovers and Romo doubters, the below quote taken from a thread should ERASE any doubts from your minds!

Romo has completed 24 of 36 passes in his starts, throwing for 270 yards against Carolina and 284 against Washington. Bledsoe did not throw for more than 250 yards in any of his six starts this season. Romo has completed 64.6 percent of his passes, and Bledsoe completed 53 percent.

Kinda sums it up--right? ROMO should have started for us from day ONE. How in the he77 could BP not recognize it sooner............Hard telling how good our record might be today.......6-2 minimum......crying in my apple juice:starspin

You probably won' find a post where I trash a Cowboys player, because I try to be guarded, ( positively or negatively ) before I judge a player.

But I am having a hard time doing that with Romo, ... this kid really impresses me !!

I was at the game at Carolina and he looked great !

I am already WAY onboard with him as our QB, and feel Parcells would have made the change earlier if Bledsoe had not been one of his guys.

The last three years I have been saying that I have seen just enough of Romo to make me want to see more. Now I want to see even more.

I still don't know if he reminds me of Staubach or Clint Longley.

So far he's been successful against the Giants, Panthers, and Commanders defenses. We'll see what he does when he plays against the Cards miserable unit.

Cowboys fans have been burned by several different QB's since Aikman retired.

If anyone wants to have their doubts and is taking a wait and see approach then I understand that.

BUT Romo has been one impressive dude since he has took over this team.

He reminds me of Favre with less arm strength but a better decision maker.

Don't think it's necessarily the arm strength but just the accuracy on the long ball, there were a few that were a few steps off of the receiver deep that I saw. But I am impressed!@!!!!

I was listening to a local sports radio show yesterday, and they have Trey Wingo on Fridays. He said, and sounded genuine, that in March one of his good friends and collegues at ESPN was told by Bill that he wanted to start Romo from game 1. However, he was worried that Drew would retire leaving them without a veteran backup. Now, that would not have bothered me considering I believe you can always get a servicable backup. The other odd thing is that, if this is true, and he was waiting on the perfect opportunity why not after the Philly game. He said that Parcells told him he had a 12-4 team with an 8-8 quarterback. I don't have a problem with Bill starting Drew because if you start Romo and for some reason he starts poorly, and then you go to Drew, and of course he stinks, you go back to Romo again? Wingo also said that although Bill THOUGHT Romo was going to be good he had no idea he would be this good, or he might have just done it from game 1. Either way, I think we would have been at worst 1 game better had he started from game 1, but we have him now.

Yeah, I'd like to think that years from now we will be looking for the next Tony Romo.

I know exactly what plays you are talking about and on those plays I think the receivers were so well covered that he just threw the ball out of bounds.

That deep ball he threw to TO was right on the money.

I hope we take some shots downfield tomorrow.

Romo threw a bunch of precision passes in that preseason game with Seattle.
While he was completing passes and playing well from the start of the Carolina game through the end of the WA game, the pass to Witten that set up the blocked Vandy FG attempt was the first pass he threw as a starter that reminded me of what he was doing in that preseason performance.
He proved to me, with that throw to Witten, that he could replicate that razor sharp touch when the game was on the line.
I will be shocked if Romo somehow regresses into less than what he has been showing.
