Oh well, they have good cheesteaks...

I hope the Cowboys can hang with them...

It makes me want to :ralph: like McNabb did in the SuperBowl.

Damn eagles....

The sooner we can accept that Jeff Lurie is absolutely correct and the Eagles are the "gold standard", the sooner we'll be able to get our heads out of our butts and see the light. It's not about winning the superbowl, it's about being competitive every year.

You all need to realize this.

It is for the Cowboys...

Jerra has always said that he don't groan and moan about winning a playoff game...he wants to win the SuperBowl.

I wish we had a different owner....

You want a problem with him...?

Ask other stupid Cowboy fans...JJ has not won a playoff game in 16 years.

Folks, I'm sorry but I love Jerry Jones. The Cowboys could not have a more kindhearted and savvy owner in terms of running the business of a professional football franchise. Yes, he's made mistakes but the man wants to win for US as fans.

The man just sunk close to half a billion dollars into a new stadium that will be the envy of the league, so that Cowboy fans can have an experience like no other in the history of sports. And believe me, there will be a MARKEDLY different home field advantage in that building with close to 90,000 fans in attendance than was in Tx Stadium.

And it took some time true, but don't look now but his personnel decisions have been fairly solid of late. Give the man his due, he has still won 3 Super Bowls and continues to hunt for more.

It would be nice to win a playoff game sometime before the next millenium but at least it hasn't been for lack of trying like so many other sports franchises.

What I love about Jerry the most is he is one of us....he want's to win as bad as we do....when we don't he get's pissed just like us. He is also a lot more optimistic then most Cowboy fans.....if any of us were in his shoes we would do the same thing....I would have my hand in everything! It's my money! He is also a fantastic Salesman.....I would buy a used car from him!

What I DON'T like about him is he acts like one of us....when he is NOT. He is the owner...he has chosen to do it HIS way with failure...memo...the ONLY NFC team that has not won a playoff game since we last WON a playoff game is the Lions....those are the FACTS...not how much the stadium cost...not how optimistic he is...not how much money he has spent. FACTS people....FACTS. And we CANNOT win a Super Bowl until we MAKE the playoffs and WIN a playoff game! So stop fast forwarding!

He was like a virgin about to get some for the first time in his life last year. All because we went 13 - 3 the year before. Jimmy Johnson and MANY other respected NFL personell people KNEW the Hard Knock cameras were a bad idea. Knew that making movie stars out of guys that needed to be role players was a bad idea. Proclaiming Tank Johnson (a guy who did not even start) was the guy to look out for. Making Pac Man and TO, guys who are now gone..focal points of the cameras was a bad idea.

Jerry has been an owner for 20 years...and he STILL does things some rookie owner would do. He does NOT have to UPSELL Dallas....WE ARE DALLAS....eveyone knows who we are....everyone knows where we are....the opportunity to prove it on the field will come soon enough and often enough....and when all 17 weeks are COMPLETE....EVERYONE will know whether we are or are not good enough to compete for a Super Bowl

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Jerry's mouth is writing checks the team can't cash again. Over or Under December 1 for when he calls a player out for an injury this year?

I don't know why he continues to jump at the bit for every little piece of media play. He can't win in that regard so he should sit back and let things be. That's what the good owners do. Even Napoleon in Washington, who is worse overall than Jerry, isn't this attention starved.

What the hell does he expect JJ to say? McMahon is so stupid.

Yeah the owner of the team is going to come out and say....

"Pack it in fans, we suck. This club has some talent but not enough to get us over the hump this year. Please still buy all of the tickets and merchandise on your way out."

This is why JJ owns and runs the best sports franchise in the league and TImmyMak is tweeting from the sidelines.

Idiot.

I still wish he would put a sack over that balloon head of his.

Yeah...I can't stand the guy, but it hardly shows, right?

Fortunately you made my post for me. Unfortunately the media will run with this even though Jerry never mentioned Super Bowl and I would imagine any other owner in the NFL would say the same thing, they just don't get goaded into it by their local media.

I believe if you asked Robert Kraft or one of the Rooneys or even Mike Brown they would say something similar to what Jerry said. If you make a comment like the team doesn't have that much talent, what inspires the fans to show up and pay good money to go to the game? The only owners who wouldn't say something similar to Jerry are those who have teams in dire straits and it's such an obvious rebuilding year (i.e. Detroit, KC, St. Louis, etc). But then again they can say that they have new, exciting talent and coaches to get the fans to come to games.

After awhile we need to hold the players and coaches accountable. Jerry never mentioned Super Bowl, but I do believe that this team should perform much better than last season and if not, then coaches and players need to be held accountable.

The Cowboys are the posterchild for the overhyped NFL team right now. He should be strongly prefacing any projection/predictions for the team. That or trying to avoid attention, but we know he can't have that.

I don't understand what the problem is with Mr Jones being optimistic about his team. I go into most seasons with the belief that it's our year to win the SB and until i'm proven wrong I keep my belief. I don't understand what the point of being a fan is if every year you're gonna believe it's going be gloom and doom.

difference is....Robert Kraft and Rooney have ACTUALLY done it THIS decade. Because that is ALWAYS the talk around Dallas....I think it does not sink into the players that you have to actually MAKE the playoffs and WIN playoff games to WIN a Super Bowl. It's almost as if the players BELIEVE they will play for the SUper Bowl because people PICK us to go to the Super Bowl. If you listen closely to the CORE players on this team...they do not even want that kind of talk....just win a game...play the next one....win another one...count them up at the end...and go from there!
