What I DON'T like about him is he acts like one of us....when he is NOT. He is the owner...he has chosen to do it HIS way with failure...memo...the ONLY NFC team that has not won a playoff game since we last WON a playoff game is the Lions....those are the FACTS...not how much the stadium cost...not how optimistic he is...not how much money he has spent. FACTS people....FACTS. And we CANNOT win a Super Bowl until we MAKE the playoffs and WIN a playoff game! So stop fast forwarding!

He was like a virgin about to get some for the first time in his life last year. All because we went 13 - 3 the year before. Jimmy Johnson and MANY other respected NFL personell people KNEW the Hard Knock cameras were a bad idea. Knew that making movie stars out of guys that needed to be role players was a bad idea. Proclaiming Tank Johnson (a guy who did not even start) was the guy to look out for. Making Pac Man and TO, guys who are now gone..focal points of the cameras was a bad idea.

Jerry has been an owner for 20 years...and he STILL does things some rookie owner would do. He does NOT have to UPSELL Dallas....WE ARE DALLAS....eveyone knows who we are....everyone knows where we are....the opportunity to prove it on the field will come soon enough and often enough....and when all 17 weeks are COMPLETE....EVERYONE will know whether we are or are not good enough to compete for a Super Bowl

What else do you want Jerry Jones to do? He is doing everything he can and does every year.
Do you want him to be like Danny boy in Washington spending millions on washed up players trying to buy a superbowl? He has tried with Pacman, Tank, and TO, but now he realizes that he needs solid contributors who will play as a team member.
Do you want Jerry Jones to be just any other owner and sit back and do nothing to help the team? To shut up and be down all the time to the media? He is optimistic, and he should be considering the team listens to how he thinks. If he questions this team's abilities, do you not think that has an effect on the team's psyche'?
Finally, last I checked, Jerry Jones does not play a position on the team and he can only observe while real football players play the game. What can Jerry do on the field to help the Boys win football games? The team needs to win, not Jerry.

You will not find another owner who puts in as much effort as Jerry does to put a good product on the field. Not everyone gets to go to a superbowl every year, it still is only two teams, but Jerry will and does do everything in his power to do what he can to give the Cowboys the best opportunity to get there.

Making the playoffs has sucked big time! I hate it...it's embarassing. But he is a business man first. He bought the Cowboys for what 250million...I can't remember...and now they are worth over 1 billion, or so? That's a savvy business man, and owner. He is always promoting his business...he's made a lot of mistakes also, like a lot of business men. But I love that he is always promoting the Cowboys...did I like Hard Knocks last year? Yes I did..(I'm a fan and want to see my team any chance I get!). Did it hurt the team? I doubt it. This team was fine in September....It's the injuries that turned this team upside down...that caused the bickering to start because of losing. He's not perfect but he loves what he does, and I'm proud to be a lifelong Cowboys fan. He could be Tom Hicks and having to borrow money to make his payroll!!
I would want to work for him...he is the most optimistic person I've ever seen...the players and coaches owe him a playoff win, and another SB.

I have always loved Jerry Jones THE OWNER. I don't mind, AT ALL, his emotionalism, his high hopes that are sometimes delusional (like when we had Quincy Carter here), or even the sideline frantic hand clapping.

What I can't take is JERRY THE FOOTBALL MAN, because it just isn't reality. Jerry Jones will never be a good football man (by himself, on his own), for the same reason that he is a GREAT owner. He thinks too much with his heart and his emotions.

Yes it should....but how? Jerry is all about winning....that's all he cares about, just like the fans. He's tried everything. New Coaches. Different players. New Schemes...etc.etc.etc. The only thing he has never changed is his position as GM. We all know that's a major problem, but that's never going to change until he's worm food.

So tell me....how can we get that first playoff victory? First of all Romo is getting a bad wrap. He's living on the sins of Chutch, Testaverde, Qcar, etc.etc....he's only been playing for 2 1/2 years. As hard as it is for some...we have to be patient....I think Romo will win a lot of playoff games before he hangs them up.

If we don't win one this year then we will be back to square one next year...with a new staff, etc. Winning isn't easy...and yes we are the Dallas Cowboys and need to win....but it's hard...ask any coach from Pee Wee, to the NFL and they will tell you that. The past two years 3 teams have gotten hot with crappy records...Philly last year, AZ last year, and the Giants of 07'. It takes everything coming together at once...until this team can do that it will be the same song and dance.....and it won't matter who is the coach, the QB, the GM, and the Owner.

I actually don't think he has been that bad as a GM....he just needs to get out of the way once he acquires the talent...he does not need to get in front of the microphone and say "we need to get the ball to TO as much as possible"....what do you think that did to his young offensive coordinator....what do you think that did to his young QB....what do you think that did to his mild mannered head coach....and furthermore, what do you think that did FOR TO? He needs to stay OFF the sideline pumping up players durning games.....if you have not noticed, it does not make a bit of difference in the outcome, all it does is weaken the position of the head coach as the ultimate authority on player conduct. And lastly, he needs to stop reminding the players before the first pre-season game that this team is talented enough to win a Super Bowl...because again, we need to make the playoffs....then win a couple of playoff games before the Super Bowl can be thought possible.

I agree...BUT they have won 2 playoff games since we last won a playoff game...and they have beaten us quite a bit lately....I hope this team gets back to HATING the Commanders...because we used to beat them so much it got boring.....but they have beaten us lately.
