This is not a serious mock and the scenarios that I will present below are not totally realistic. This is just for fun.
Tony Romo is traded to the Buffalo Bills for their 1st and 2nd round picks this year, plus a 2nd next year.
Anthony Spencer is traded to the Miami Dolphins for their 2nd and the 2nd round pick that they acquired from the Colts in this year's draft.
That leaves the Cowboys with (2) 1st rounders, (4) 2nd rounders, (1) 3rd round, (1) 4th round, (1) 5th round, and (1) 6th round pick for a total of 10 picks in the draft.
1.(8 - From Buffalo) Star Lotulelei DT Utah- His heart condition scare at the combine appears to be a false alarm. He has the quickness Monte is looking for on the inside and could potentially have a Suh type impact for us.
1.(18) Kenny Vacarro S Texas- I think both Warmack and Cooper are gone by this point. After getting potentially getting the most dominant DL in the draft, Dallas is still able to get their S target to make big upgrades on the defense.
2.(41 - From Buffalo) Eddie Lacy RB Alabama- Another injured RB in the 2nd round with star potential. With 2 big bruising backs Dallas will be able to wear defenses down with regularity.
2.(42 - From Miami) Terron Armstead OT Arkansas-PineBluff - The Cowboys are focused on getting more athletic up front and Armstead fits that bill. He will instantly compete with Parnell and Free for playing time.
2.(47) Travis Frederick C Wisconsin- He doesn't fit the mobile, athletic mold but I think his strength and intelligent in the middle outweigh that. He won't get pushed back into the QB, and is capable of making the calls to keep the line on the same page.
2.(54 - From Miami through Indy) Tyler Wilson QB Arkansas- His head injuries are a concern, but I like his arm and his toughness. If we strengthen the defense and put a few pieces around Orton I think he can be serviceable for a year or two while Wilson develops.
3. Corey Lemonier DE Auburn- He has put up good workout numbers but is a little too stiff to be an OLB and undersized for a DE. In Kiffin's attacking defense he could be a good end rusher.
4. Travis Kelce TE Cincinnati- Injury and off the field concerns push Kelce down, but with the extra picks and the need for a TE with blocking potential the Cowboys take a risk.
5. Kenjon Barner RB Oregon- With injury concerns at RB and constantly trying to upgrade the return game, Barner is a good pickup if he's still available.
6. Sanders Commings DB Georgia- With the last pick of our draft we pick up a versatile defensive back to add depth to an injury plagued group.
