Schottenheimer and Adams need to have some plays designed for Blue to get him in winning situations , that will allow him to stretch the field and out run defenses.

With Blue, in the NFL, I think it's a matter of if he can leverage his speed to run strong up the middle. You really have to be a threat up the middle as a smaller back so you can break the outside runs.

Even with Bass, our OL looks good up the middle. Blue works a lot on his receiving game, which he's adept at. But we need to move him to the second level, where he is also very good at making people miss and juking just a bit, then turning him on.

To me, he may be like Turpin. It's going to take him a while to hit his ceiling. But i think Turpin still hasn't hir his.

With Turpin banged up Blue may get some kick and punt return duties as well. I want to see Blue get some screen plays and delayed hand offs both between the tackles and to the outside. Blue just needs a crease and if he gets a step on a defender he is gone.

Tony Dorsett vs Blue are two different things. Blue never broke 1000 yrds and as a matter of fact his UT stats 33yrds, 398 yards, and 730 yards for career 1161 yrds. Tony Dorsett was never had less than 1000 yards in any of his four college seasons. His he is man season he had 2150 yards.

Yeah, but not really though. Turpin is small, but he's an exceptional athlete.

My concern with Blue is his leg strength when lanes get clogged. The better smaller backs know how to churn their legs and break a big run. Achane did it well there for a while.

He's like 5 bucks shy of 200, I think, so not entirely small.

They could be giving Blue a chance to showcase him so they have trade bait. We can trade a RB to a team in need and get a much needed defensive player. Not sure which RB we'd trade though. I think Blue is going to electrify with his speed.

I'd just be happy he did well. He missed basically all of TC and preseason with injuries. That's why he hasn't been playing.
