Blue Star Media/Beaumont area watching options

In years past, all of the Cowboys preseason games were broadcast in my area on what I think was called Blue Star Media or Silver Star Network.

I'm stuck with TimeWarner Cable so I don't have NFL Network available. I have read all the threads about sites that are streaming the game and I will watch that way if it's not on another TV network.

Beaumont/Port Arthur area has Fox64 which has had the games for the last several years. Their schedule does not show the game on (it still shows the regularly scheduled programs) but most of the time last year it wasn't in the listing either. They seem to do a poor job of getting special programs into the listing.

I have googled for the info but I can't find reference to it anywhere. Are the preseason games still going to be broadcast local even though the NFL Network is carrying it? If so, is is still to be shown on Fox64 in this area?

Thanks for any help here.

I checked Fox28 Kyle (Bryan/College Station) and they have the game listed so its still possible for Fox64 to pick it up.

Our Fox shows always shows *everything* Cowboys, but last year they didn't list the final preseason game as being shown. But in the end, it was. So maybe, like you said, they just haven't updated their program guide.

I would just call the station and ask them... And if they aren't showing it, harass them a little. :)

In the past, when it was on KFDM it was usually a tape delay. Saturday games came on at 10:30PM on Sunday.

I want to record the game also, that's why I'm trying to get the info. I checked the KFDM listings and they don't show it on either day.

I'm wondering if we will get it on NFL Network here in Houston. The Texans play at 7. So, will they black it out?

They won't black it out. KTRK ABC13 will show the Broncos-Texans at 7, NFLN will show Bills-Commanders at 6 and then Cowboys-Chargers at 9.

According to their website, (kfdm.com), they are going to show the game tonight at 9:00 pm on "CW 10", if that means anything to you. To me, "CW" means "continuous wave" which is the same type as a tv signal, so maybe it just means channel 10 on TWC...

The CW is a network(Smallville, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, etc) Some areas don't have a station so they have it on a secondary digital station of another network. Looks like The CW is on 6.2 in Beaumont.(not sure if they have an analog station for the CW or not) Might be on cable in Beaumont.

CW10 it is! I never would have thought to look there.

That's channel 10 on T/W cable in this area. I forget what the CW stands for. That channel and KFDM are owned by the same company and share some programming.

Thanks to everyone for the info! Now I can watch on the big screen instead of the little 19" monitor.

For what its worth. The CW stand for CBS-Warner Bros. Its a joint venture of CBS, UPN, and Warner Bros. (the former WB network).
