Ask his sisters if it matters I promise you they will tell you it does.rcaldw;2558923 said:Honestly, though, what will it matter now? Bob is dead and won't be able to enjoy it. Does he still have family that can be honored by it? I hope so.
Where'd you get that picture of him?bbgun;2558945 said:It'd be a shame if they're still holding the Ice Bowl against him.

That's one of the best I have seen.

Here's Bob and Tex from December, 1964.

Professional football defensive schemes have never been the same, solely due to Hays, his speed and his abilities to get open and of course, RAC.
It was a great piece of writing, and every word of it was the truth.
They let Lawrence Taylor in. Whatever Hayes did off the field is grade-school compared to Taylors antics. And Hayes was every bit the "game changer" and "scheme changer" that they say Lawrence Taylor to "change the game".
It's an absolute crime that Hayes didn't "get in" while he was alive. A tragedy.

One right before he died and one right after.
Jerry's a little slow on the trigger (as we've seen again recently).

I promised his sister I will go to his induction.

He's one step closer!
Other than Rod Woodson and maybe Brice Smith, I can't see anyone on that list going in ahead of Bob Hayes, IMO.
