Here is his summary of the he studied:

My summary is this: Bortles is the pick if you want to sleep easy. Manziel is the pick if you like to gamble. Bridgewater is a tier down. In fact, Mettenberger might be better than Bridgewater, were it not for the ACL concerns. Then, David Fales is a guy I really like at the right price. I have not seen the Derek Carr fascination that some have, but I admit I champion the downfield gunner more than most. Then, Garoppolo is 7th out of 7, and there might be a few guys who belong in his class that I did not profile in this batch.

That is how I see it.

Bridgewater is the #1 guy when football is actually being played.....the season ends and somehow several guys surpass him. Why? Who knows.

I do think Fales late in the draft could be a possibility.

I really not sure if any of the so-called top QBs will end up being stars. Can't wait to find out though, and I'm certainly not rooting against any of them unless they end up with a rival team.

Tom Savage at PIT is supposed to be a guy we like later on, too, fwtw.

I wonder if anyone here recalls the comments last year saying teams would be throwing games for a chance to get a sure-thing lock like Teddy Bridgewater (or Clowney).
Now, a year later and almost as always, neither player may even be the first player taken. And those two held up better than some sure-thing top overall picks (a year in advance) than most.
