Frankly, it's a tall task. Not impossible, just implausible. We would need to hit home runs on everything we do. Much like what the Texans did about 2 or 3 years ago when they found demeco Ryan's and nailed the off-season, draft included.

Yep.
He's both right with the positions and numbers needed at those positions.

Needs every single player whether draftee(s)or free agent(s)to be ballers.
That's pretty much it in black and white.

That's a good call. Defintely have to prioritize things. It doesn't not have to be scorched earth fixing. If we hit 50%...would greatly help.

They probably need 4 guys, one at each level, to become a good defense. A really good pass rusher, a good LB, a good S, and a good CB.

We don't need 3 new additions on DL. We are good at DT, We may need one impactful edge that we can get from free agents or draft
For LB, yeah, we might need 2 of them but still a solid lb from free agents and draft a good one this year.
CB, we need a good one. Same here, we can get from the draft. Mansoor Delane could be a good choice at 12, and he can be available for us when we pick.
Safty, we can get help from free agents.
So yeah, the front office need to work hard in free agents to get some solid players this year.

thanks for recap and he isn't wrong.
good thing about beign so bad on defense is that you can find replacement cheap in free agency and outside r1 of the draft.
we fielded a lot of non-NFL caliber players last year.
