Bobby Carpenter in the nickel?

How about it? Having Carp take Roys spot in the nickel when he moves into an LB slot?

If what some of you guys say is true, we won't be losing much in coverage ability and it might be nice to actually see a #1 pick get on the field at some point in his career.

Maybe I misunderstand Roy's responsibilities in the nickel, but I don't think he ends up in deep coverage much when he moves up. So Courtney takes Pat's spot as the 2nd safety and Carp takes Roys spot at LB.

Ok. This is getting beyond stupid. Roy is a 5 time pro bowler. He's one of the best players on our team.

Playing him as a "dime back in the hole" is a great idea and it's worked very well.
