Really other than that one play in the third quarter where he did actually look quite good on the pass rush this guy is doing a big fat job of nothing.

I really have yet to see him make a play but what I doo see him do a lot is jump at people and miss. Now this guy is supposed to be the 18th best player in the draft and also purported to prepared for the game. while he did have some sort of leg injury a week ago im starting to worry about the guy.

I DO NOT want him to suck.

He's a rookie, so I'll give him a couple more years before I take him out back and punish him.

He's a rook and he's also learning a new position. He will not have to start so no need to worry about him.

He will be a great Linebacker for years to come.

Tsk, tsk, haven't you realized that if you are drafted by the Cowboys, you better get 5 sacks, 1 INT and 2 forced fumbles in your first 8 plays or else you are a bust.

Guys it is obviously too soon to say that hes a bust but Im really beginning too wonder when hes going to show something. If he swas playing against other first teameers then of course the learning curve is steeper.

Im not saying run to the hills but none of you are a bit concerned hes not showing ANYTHING?

I would be if we did not have so much talent at the LB position ....

I think its hard to show how good you are when everyone else is doing great as well .....

Patience.

Whatever. Its not as if Im freaking out but he has shown NOTHING in three games against backups. He has also shown a propenstiy to leave his feet and even then he misses.

I dont like it this from the 18th pick.

People felt this way about Bradie James too.

It's not like he getting beat out there. True he hasn't made a great impact yet, but not every rookie is Demarcus Ware...... Let the kid get used to the speed of the pro game and his new position. If Bill likes him , There must be something there. And after Newman, Ware, Spears, Canty... Bill's early D-picks have done pretty well.

Give him the first half and we'll see. It took James 2 years to settle in to the pro game.

He did have 1 tackle and 1 assist tonight which, although not great in terms of performance, is on par with our other linebackers. If you recall, Burnett had a pretty bad rookie season last year but he's starting to show a lot of promise this preseason. Bradie James is finally coming on strong, too, but it took his 3rd season before he started making any noise in this league.

Carp just needs a little more time to hone his skills before he begins to make a name for himself. Wait until his 3rd year in the league and see if he doesn't start getting noticed for the Pro Bowl. That's my prediction.

The guy's smart, dedicated to his profession, and has a boatload full of talent. He should only get better as he gains more experience.
