He just said the Raiders could cut Collins after june 1 and only have half of his cap hit count next year and the rest the following; which is incorrect. With 07 being a uncapped year any cuts you make this offseason will fully count next year there will be NO splitting the hit after June 1 like in the past. Now if a new CBA is reached before then teams could still split the hit after June 1. Adam if I'm wrong please correct me, but I think I'm corrcet on this one.

Then this holds true for all teams wishing or having to make cuts. How would this affect Dat's possible retirement? Or i've seen talk of letting LA walk - cutting players with that type salary would become impossible for most teams. Then again i'm sure the owners and players will come to some agreement, so this is all probably moot...

Yea all teams are in the same boat, as for Dat he only has two years left on his contract and due a 500K roster bonus this offseason. I don't know how much his SB was but prob around 2mil So I think we will save around 650K plus the 500K roster bonus even paying the full SB.

I don't think the sides are even in the same City on reaching a new CBA and the PA has a new agenda (added to their long list) which is wording signing bonus so they can't be taken such as happened to T.O. they want a general rule about them to protect the players and I don't think the owners will give in on that to easy.
