I thought that I would tell you guys and gals what I did in my bonus room.

Bought a set of NFL pennants and ran them around the room at the top of the wall, like a border. Looks good. VERY colorful as you can imagine.

With the Cowboy flag above the TV and the 5 time Superbowl banner, the room has become a "sports" room.

Cool, post some pictures we'd love to see it. I have a room like this in my house as well, except it's really Cowboys-only merchandise (I must have spent enough to cover the next signing bonus).

That is cool.
I wanted to do the same with a full set of NFL (Ridell) mini-helmets. I'd like to run a small shelf along the wall (up near the ceiling) that would encompass the entire room and have one helmet for each team.

I'll have to wait because it's going to be expensive but I think it would be really cool.

Now that is a cool idea. But you're right about expensive. Heck the set of pennants was 106.95. Not bad when thats only 3.34 each.
