Sounds like a heck of an athlete, but I watch a lot of Big XII football and I don't even recall his name.

Uh oh. I hear Larry Lacewell whispering in the background....

Dallas will be talking with a lot of prospect even those who will go later in the draft.

I know. I'm just getting very worried about Lacewell's potential new influence on Jerry with Parcells gone. Bullitt isnt even listed on many mock Draft depth charts. It's one thing to spend money on visiting a guy who's projected to go in the first 5 or 6 rounds, but I dont know of many mock boards this guy is projected to be taken in any round. I hope they're not visiting this guy in lieu of solid round 1-4 players they could pick, and I fear the Lacewell II era. Can you say Mike Ulufale?

Well, thought I would add something.

Dallas is supposed to have someone in attendance for the Kansas pro day and one of the players they are looking at is Jerome Kemp. Interesting because this guy was supposed to be a good prospect coming out of HS. Oklahoma supposedly had interest in him as a RB and Miami was interested in him as a DB. Chose Kansas where he was competing for a starting job as a RB. Got injured early on and his replacement came in and played well so he didn't get a real opportunity to take his spot back. He then switched to S and played decent. Didn't attend the combine but his personal workouts were solid. Comparing his #s to the combine, he would have been in the Top 5 in a good deal of the workouts and would have had the 2nd best bench out of the DBs.

Not really a highly touted player, maybe a 7th rounder but just thought I would put that out there cause thats what I heard.

He is a player who recent workouts has caused his stock to raise according to some publications I have seen. I think all this is right now is Dallas doing their homework for both the Draft and UDFA

Let's hope the Cowboys sign Kemp in one of their undrafted free agent groups they aquire the day after the draft. Let's also hope Kemp isnt one of Lacewell's bread-and-butter 3rd round picks.

Yeah, thats most likely where he will go. As an undrafted. He would probably have to have a pretty stellar workout to get picked. I wouldn't mind him getting a shot to go to camp.

12/08/06 - Senior safety Jerome Kemp was booked into Douglas County jail Monday on charges of auto burglary, theft and criminal damage to property, jail officials said. Alcohol was a factor in the alleged crime, according to Lawrence, Kan., police. Kemp turned himself in shortly before 8 p.m. Monday and remained in custody Tuesday morning with a $2,250 bond. Kristen Brau, a 22-year-old University of Kansas student, told Lawrence police that someone had shattered the driver's door window on her Volkswagen Jetta and taken more than $1,000 in CDs and other items from her car on Friday evening. The car was parked in the 2500 block of West 6th street. Lawrence Police spokeswoman Kim Murphree said Brau and Kemp knew each other before the alleged incident. Associate athletics director Jim Marchiony said he was still gathering facts and did not immediately have a comment. In 2005, Kemp started 11 games as safety for the Jayhawks, and he was given an Honorable Mention on the All-Big 12 defensive squad in 2006. - By David Linhardt, University Daily Kansan

I don't know much about this guy Bullitt, but he's sure got a cool last name. "Bullitt intercepts the pass, and he's racing toward the endzone like a speeding Bullitt."

I don't think Lacewell is calling the shots. He and Jerry remain friends but Jerry also hired Ireland I think Ireland input will carry a lot more weight.

Kemp apparently has some semi-serious trouble with the law... seems he's accused of breaking into a car and stealing over 1000 dollars worth of stuff... I'm gonna want to see how that's resolved before I'd consider signing him...

Jerry and Lacewell both said so right after Parcells left. It was all over the local media here in Dallas. Lacewell is on the payroll and he will be in Valley Ranch on a daily basis with Parcells gone. Jerry said that Lacewell is one of his closest friends and advisors and he will be listening to him more that Parcells is gone. Can I jump off the bridge now????? :anvil:

Our back-up safety tandem.

I wonder if teaming Keith Davis with a guy named Bullitt is a good idea.
