Lose third round pick...trade out of the second round and into the third. Problem solved. No impact on the draft.
Craig, Maybe this was a joke that I missed about how poorly we draft in the 2nd round anyway? lol
As you know, Regardless of where we trade to, up or down, losing 3rd rounder is losing a 3rd rounder. Right?

Doesn't sound like you missed the joke at all.

So we came to an agreement and then refused to make the trade? There is some smoke there

So you contend up that if a team gives another team permission to speak about salary with a player, then they should be locked into agreeing on a trade? Dallas took a calculated risk that Denver was going to cut Sanchez so there was no need to trade for him. It's not their fault Denver allowed them to talk to Sanchez first.

Do you drink coffee Jerry style (with a little Johnnie Blue) ? :D

Ok, it's probably a lot of Johnnie Blue for Jerry.

Yea a lot for JJ...my coffee is straight, no chaser....not even any cream or sugar....
I actually just printed some stuff out from some stocks I have, and had investments on my mind, when typing that. And was taking a sip of coffee too.
I was trying to multi task and failed...LOL...

The Giants wanted to talk to him?

Yep. Mara will call in a favor to Goodell.

I think the point was that there is nothing to indicate that the league is actually investigating anything. It is pure speculation by Florio. He used the word 'could' because he's just guessing based on the timing as he sees it. He didn't indicate that he had any kind of source at all.
Exactly why I put a ? at the end of my title thread. I didn't need the claification.

Meanwhile Philly is somehow able to fleece Minnesota lol. I know its not the same. I just cant fathom a week where Philly gets a 1 for Bradford and we lose a 3 for Sanchez.
lol. Yes a 1st for Bradford. Minnesota never learns...too bad the Cowboys didnt have another Walker to send their way....

I'd just like to say that "Sanchez Tampering" sounds like something way more sinister than it really is.

Just an observation.

We will lose a 2nd for this.

No we won't. He didn't actually sign until late today, well after he was released. Not to mention Dallas had permission to talk contract with him while they were discussing a trade with Denver. Dallas simply decided to risk that he would be cut and won. Once he was cut, it only took a few minutes to agree on a deal because there had already been discussions. Nothing even close to tampering occurred but people who didn't know all the facts decided to write a story about it anyway.

Denver was trying to trade him. Dallas didn't want to pay his contract which was 4.5 million . If Dallas offered him a contract before he was officially released could be considered tampering.
