OXNARD, Calif. Dallas Cowboys players are getting their first day off since they reported to training camp July 28th.
But that doesn't mean coaches are lounging around today -- especially not Bill Parcells.
Parcells says he will evaluate his depth chart from top to bottom and consider whether he needs more than the six practices already scheduled before the preseason opener coming up Saturday in Seattle.
Parcells has already cut several players he said didn't have a chance of making the club. He also indicated that he's not going to keep dead weight around for too long.
Parcells has acknowledged he
could already fill about 48 of the 53 roster spots that must be set by September Second.
