BP stacks up well so far of all the new coaches hired thus far. Extending BP contract was the best move for the team.

As far as all the NFL coaches go I would rate Parcells in the top 15 but he is nowhere near the top 10. I would not rate anyone who has given us a record of 1 game above .500 in 3 years in the top 10 that is for sure.

Not sure where I would rate him but I would rate him higher then Parcells. In his second year Gibbs got his Skins a playoff win. Parcells has yet to win a playoff game for this team.

Sorry man but some of the old people in this forum like you think that Parcells is some top 10 coach cuz of his past before he coached this team.

As for what he has done for Dallas he is barely above average. This is now not way back when.

I think given the fact that Parcells turns teams around
from being completly in shambles, hasn't been taken into account here and if you are going to evaluate the coaches, then make sure all things are
considered. Btw,the Boys could be on the merry go round of retreads.

His 1st year hear we go 10-6. We have yet to IMPROVE!

I am glad that BP is back for only one reason....and that is that right now there are not any better coaches out there to take his place. But anything like the 05 season or 04 season then get ridda Parcells.

Gibbs is 1 game above .500 same as Parcells. Dont even talk about their playoff win which was the worst win of all time what did they have 120 yards?

Would you rather have one of the worse playoff wins ever and still be alive and move to play another playoff game or would you rather be 9-7 and not in it.

I will take a win in the playoffs no matter how horrible it is. Cuz that means we are still alive.

Gibbs has gone further into the playoffs then Parcells and he did it in less time. I dont care how they won....they still won.

Gibbs team has IMPROVED from his 1st year. Parcells has NOT.

Gibbs has done an exceptional job in Washington....

However, alot of that teams success is riding on Brunell, and they payed alot to get him.

They arent too great in terms of cap, so in terms of future sucess, you could argue that they might not have done so great.

Parcells inherited a team I would consider one of the worst in the NFL at the time. Cinci got their QB...we didn't. I think that this next year, once Parcells improves the O-Line and finishes tweaking the D, not to mention improved ST, we should be real good.

If you think this team is not improved it shows something about your knowldge on the subject.

Sorry this is not about 1 lousy win in the playoffs its about SuperBowls. Personally I would rather miss the playoffs for 10 years then win 1 superbowl than I would make the playoffs every year and never win.

There are several different ways to gague improvement. Anyone who says this team wasn't a better team than the one that went 10-6 has an agenda. Any one who says we don't have more talent on this team today then we did when we went 10-6 once again has an agenda. If Parcells quit right now we are still a much better team then we were when he got here.

Yes our record was worse this year than in 2003. We played one of the hardest schedules in the NFL this year. We played what must have been one of the softer schedules in the NFL in 03. We won 2 of 7 games against teams with a 500 or better record. Last year we played 9 games against 500 or better teams and won 4 of them, and played all but one of the losses close. No we didn't make the playoffs this year, but I would say this is the best team we've fielded since at least 98.

Here's an interesting stat, no Parcells coached team has ever regressed after a 9-7 season. They always improved. The year after the Giants under Parcells went 9-7 they posted 10-6 the next year and 14-2 the following year. The year after the Jets under Parcells went 9-7 they posted a 12-4 record the following year.

I don't have the utmost confidence in Parcells or Bledsoe, but that does instill some hope.

2003 easiest schedule in the league, this season 7th hardest
