wonderful.I love it.The media are clueless about what the team is doing and that is great.Fasano was a surprise to me ,but i loved it when i find out exactly why(2 tight end sets).I love the fact that he is not all over NFL network, and video games. Now,if his plan works its perfect.Either or he has built a great defense here for years to come.

You and me both, there might be a thread on this already, but I heard Dale Hanson on the radio today on my drive home and he was crying like a little girl because Parcells hasn't given any interviews.

My take on it is WHO GIVES A FLIP????????

What does Parcells give you anyway in an interview??? NOTHING, NADA, ZIP, ZILCH. So why cry about it.

I love the way Parcells handles them. Treats them like the dogs that they are. Sportwriters are jealous hacks.

The real problem is that the sportswriters around here have had it too easy, for too long. Since Jimmy left they could say anything they want with no fear of being called out on it. Switzer, Gailey, Campo........all were cowards of the press. But not big Bill. He owns thier punk arses, and the mediots know it.

I love it. I love it. I love it.

Thats what I love about Parcells that he knows how to piss off the Mediots. :laugh2:
Imagine if we had somebody like Mike Ditka pretty much telling the world what we were gonna do. Well... that would really suck

BP probably isn't speaking to the media because he probably doesn't want to field 10 questions asking if he's going to stay or not

And another 15 questions aobut did he really want TO or was it all JJ's idea and was it forced on him? I don't blame him for not talking to those clowns.

And the real upside is we don't have to listen to him either :D

I'm awaiting hid first press conference this year when we get to hear tried and true responses by BP like...

"Why are we even talking about this?"
"Lookit... you let me worry about that"
"I don't think it's time yet for the state of the union"
"How would I know?... I haven't even had these players on the field yet?"
"I like the player.. I think he can help us in some areas"
"Who should we have drafted or signed?"
"I think we'll be alright there"
"You know this isn't 1-800 dial a safety(insert whatever position)"

It's like a comedy show as he shoots everyone down.. they try to stir up things that are not relevant to how he operates and BP basically tells them.. it doesn't matter and then throws a question back at them, which they usually can't respond to.

See the thing is that while they might want to know.. how it will work with TO or whatever.. how do you answer that? It's like asking a teacher how they are going to control their classroom.

And the same thing with his retirement.. what's the point of talking about it? It does no good. The media will say.. oh but the fans and the players would probably like to know... well.. as a fan. I can really care less, I don't want to know until it's his last game coaching, that he is going to retire. And I'm pretty sure that the players will know well before that.

Bottom line is that BP isn't in the newspaper selling business.. he's in the coaching business.

I like his silence, and I enjoy that there are not story upon story based on one line he might have said, ala Campo. Also, with BP here, we are not subjected to the players running wild in the off season and being arrested, or being accused of rape. Sometimes silence is golden...keep it up BP, I like these kinds of off seasons....

I love it. Some people here seem to think that BP has some sort of responsibility to talk to the media all the time. BS.
Let me repeat that: BS!!!!!!
ALL he is responsible for is putting the best team possible on the field. Jerry is responsible for the rest.

Yes, I loved all the whining on Sunday (Galloway & Blackistone especially) about his not talking--& then their pseudo-psychological analysis of why.

What they're not getting is that he doesn't want to talk about TO more than he's talked about any other vet player we've signed. That says to TO that he's not more important than anyone else on the team. Just because the mediots want to play it up doesn't mean Parcells has to.

I cant wait till training camp when he doesnt go to the first press conference and then the second and the third. and the media GOES CRAZY.

He doesnt care about their questions. Unless they are good questions. And questions about TO in Bill's mind are stupid questions.

It is like asking him about leaving the giants suddenly. Or leaving the pats in the middle of the super bowl for the jets.

The man has his agenda and is going to do what he is going to do.

Screw the media.

Yes yes I get it. But essentially he was dealing with another team to become a coach. IN the middle of super bowl week.

Sketchy stuff. He is going to do what he wants to do. He isnt going to do something he doesnt want to.

It's great...do you think BP & JJ sit behind those closed doors sometimes and just laugh it up at the mediots....planning on what to do next to make them whine some more.

You nailed it. Good stuff. The media are in for a rude awakening if they think they are going to Punk the Tuna. I can't wait. I hope he just sits there and mean mug them, lol.
