Even with injuries Tyron isn't overpaid. He's the 17th highest paid player at tackle.......

Overpaid at tackle is Tunsil who in 2019 missed 2 games, 3 sacks allowed and 18 penalties is still making almost 2x as much as Smith or Nate solder being statistically one of the top five worst tackles in football cashing a 15.5 million a year check and then sitting out

Tyron isn't even close to being overpaid. Williams being a top 50 pick, Frederick getting paid but not playing, and La'el getting high dollar but can't even come to camp in shape are all worse just on the offensive line alone......

Frederick retired and when you retire you give up any balance left on your contract. He's not being paid by the Cowboys anymore.

Tyron Smith is the 13th highest paid LT in the NFL I wouldn't say he's overpaid. When he's on the field he's easily top 5 at his position.

not true, we still owe him 11 million dollars. We're taking some of the hit in 20 and some in 21

The only balance you give up when you retire is your base rate but majority of the extension contracts is guaranteed money so you can't run from that

But so many here say Jerry doesn’t have control anymore. It is a shame he can’t keep his mouth shut, MM knew the story before he signed up, wonder how he can stand it. I guess money cures a lot.

Was thinking the same thing but I think it's to the point, the FO just gives JJ the keys to the tricycle and let's him ride around for a while until it's time for a nap. These media sessions with JJ trying to talk football are pointless and useless except for JJ himself.
