Dez Bryant has had problems with his foot since breaking his toe back in Week 1.

But even though the Dallas Cowboys are sitting last in the NFC East, they did get some good news this week. Bryant completed his first full week of practice since fracturing his toe, which caused him to miss five games.

The wide receiver commented on his recovery, per ESPNDallas.com's Jean-Jacques Taylor:

I could've easily put this thing in the bag with all of the injuries I'm dealing with, but I'm not. I'm not here making no excuses. I'm trying my best to get right. To get right, I gotta be practicing and be out in games to get back to the level I want to be at. I'm feeling better by the day. I'll tell you this: This is the best I've felt since I've been back. I'm still getting better and moving better. I'm more confident.

Bryant has always been a fiery competitor and has not been afraid to show it. But in Dallas' loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 10, he had a crucial drop on third down and didn't make a better effort on the potential winning touchdown. He finished with five catches for 45 yards.

"He's been dealing with a lot of different things, really all year long, and he's done a good job fighting through all of that stuff," said head coach Jason Garrett, per Taylor.

It's been an up-and-down year for Bryant, who has only cracked the 100-yard mark once this year. Bryant's foot troubles mixed with Tony Romo's broken collarbone are big reasons why the Cowboys have struggled as much as they have this year.

The fact Bryant is making an effort to play despite the Cowboys' 3-8 record has to be considered a good sign for a Cowboys team looking for any sort of positive.
