BR: Eli Manning was not voted into the HOF for a second straight year

That Tyree catch is still the luckiest catch I can ever remember seeing.
Exactly right. I was thinking of adding (and lucky) after "acrobatic", but didn't want to have to explain that I was mostly referring to the helmet catch.

NOW LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO!!!!

Thanks. And don't get me started on the "Rock & Roll Hall of Fame," which tops them all for arbitrariness in a field where there are few statistical measurements aside from record sales, and in which preferences could scarcely be more subjective. The only thing that could possibly be worse is a Food Hall of Fame. :)
That Hall is a huge joke. Extremely biased. Why? Because tastes in music differ so wildly. A great song to one person can be a pile of doodood to another.

Not trying to hate, but I don't think he's an HOF cabiber player. If his last name wasn't Manning, he's another Brad Johnson.

When excluding his two Super Bowl MVP runs, his stats are average or mediocre, exemplified by a
116-116 regular-season record and, at times, inconsistent play.

While he ranks in the top 10 for passing yards and touchdowns, his 60.3% completion rate and 1.5:1 TD:INT ratio are below the elite standards that warrant the HOF.
The top 10 thing is based entirely on the league enforcing penalties on DBs trying to guard anyone. Passing league QBs cannot be compared to previous QBs using stats.

Here's a question...

Are these HOF numbers?

QB record
94-71-0

61.5 Comp.%

32,942 Yards

165 TDs/141 INTs

A All Pro is won by me player lol. A SB MvP is contingent on you winning the actual SB. You can go 0-16 and get an All Pro. I get what point you’re making. It’s just not fitting here. You’re trying to strong arm Dak into this and it’s not applicable.
Incorrect. Chuck Howley would disagree with you.

They are very similar, and fine, since you’re getting your panties in a wad over Dak, use any QB who has won All Pro. How many have won MVP of the regular season, or All Pro, but still had losing records? Not a lot. As you originally said, rings aren’t won by an individual player and neither is MVP or All Pro.

Did Dak not win All Pro two times with a top O line in the league? What about his WR’s, RB’s and TE’s? Do you think he would have achieved that honor with a bottom 10 O line and scrubs for pass catchers? No, he wouldn’t have.

*and I’m not trying to strong arm Dak at all, I don’t have an agenda with Dak like a lot of people do here. I think he’s an absolute selfish, arrogant person with a dbag personality that I can’t stand who is also an above average regular season QB when he has all the right people around him and is piss poor playoff QB. I used him as a reference because he is a cowboys with 2 All Pro’s and has been in the running for MVP.

Yup, it was quite debatable. However you look at it, it was not a good play by Eli. He was forced to just throw it up because he had sucked so badly previously.
Really? It was amazing he even got out the mess he was in, let alone find any receiver. He was immediately under pressure and had hands all over him yet still got out of it and had time to throw. Maybe you should rewatch it instead of replaying what didn’t happen in your head.

full body of work
84.1 rating
366 TDs 244 Ints
led the league in picks three times
Anyone thinking this full body of work deserves the HOF is a football fool
Romo won't get in because the lack of team playoff success. Eli shouldn't get in because of team playoff success. His body of work shows that he's not a Hall of Fame quarterback. Saying he is because of the rings is like saying Trent Dilfer should be a Hall of Famer.

You got it lol.

Seen it several times now. The escape was nice.

I think maybe you need to go rewatch the 07 super bowl run so you won't keep replaying what didn't happen in your head.

Eli should thank his defense that they won SB rings. His defense gave up like 14-16 points in both playoff runs. It’s not hard to win when your defense does that. And I’m sick of people saying he beat the GOAT two times. No, his defense shut down Brady not him. Most mediocre QB.

Why? The HOF is for great players. Both are ordinary.
Then there's the case for career short too. It's a fine line and they put TD and Sharpe in recently with some political type use. Eli made 2 of the greatest super bowl runs with not much on offense at the time and slayed the goat twice so I wouldn't be mad at all if he got in.

Funny, all the folks trying to explain away Eli’s two Super Bowl runs and point to his middling stats wouldn’t dare do the same for Aikman, especially after looking at his paltry career passing numbers.

And before anyone even thinks about “it was a different era,” save it. There were QBs during Aikman’s days that were putting up prolific numbers.

They didn't have much on Offense because Eli wasn't that good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brandon Jacobs was the engine of that O.
