BR: Eli Manning was not voted into the HOF for a second straight year

Funny, all the folks trying to explain away Eli’s two Super Bowl runs and point to his middling stats wouldn’t dare do the same for Aikman, especially after looking at his paltry career passing numbers.

And before anyone even thinks about “it was a different era,” save it. There were QBs during Aikman’s days that were putting up prolific numbers.
NO one had Emmitt Smith and the commitment to a running game either.

Cowboys fans hate on Eli but you can not tell the story of the NFL without him. It is absurd that he is not in.
No one is hating on him. Boy, have you misread this situation. All of the facts thrown your way, and this is what you come up w/?

Here it is for you in simple facts. The HOF is for great players. Eli is not a great player.

The HOF is not for "telling stories", whatever that means. Weird way to argue that he should be in, BTW.

He didn't pass the eye test either. He's SB success is arguably the result of team play, not elite QB play. Dude was just an average Joe at the position. Peyton is HOFer, not Eli.
He actually reminds me is Jim Everett. Get a little pressure on him and he wasn’t good but could pick you apart if he had time to throw

One thing he was good at was throwing the ball away and not taking sacks. Used to drive me crazy. I'm sure he got away with a few intentional grounding no-calls in his time.

Was thinking the same thing. There's a lot of people that dont think Aikman should be in the hof.

Seen it several times now. The escape was nice.

I think maybe you need to go rewatch the 07 super bowl run so you won't keep replaying what didn't happen in your head.
I understand exactly what happened, yeah, he chunked it up but you’re ignoring the other 3/4ths of the play.

The HOF has a real problem on their hands with Eli. On one hand his career in no way deserves the HOF but those two SB's he was carried to, and his name will bring a ton of pressure to put him in.

What's it going to be HOF? Credibility or comfort?

A play or two before the Tyree chuck and duck Asanti Samuels dropped the game ending interception. A terrible overthrow by Eli hit Samuels right in the hands and he dropped it.
he was shot with luck in that game
both that play and the helmet play were all luck

And you're ignoring the tremedous D that held one of the best O's of all time to 14 points. Eli was not even close to the MVP of that game.

You mean NE’s tremendous D that gave up the 4th least amount of total points that year or NY’s “tremendous” D that gave up the 17th most points that year (*Cowboys were 13th). NE’s defense was ~top 5 in almost every defensive category, NY wasn’t even sniffing top 5 in most defensive categories.

Eli had a better overall game than Brady against a much better defense, so who do you think should have got MVP that game?

Justin Tuck. He was the clear MVP.

NYG got dudes back from injury. If you want to go into this, do your research first!!!!!!!!

NE was not the best in what counted. Disrupting the pocket and hitting the QB.

Brady and Eli had about the same day. Neither was clearly better. Where do you get this stuff from?

This is the dumbest most wrong post I have seen in some time.
So if the Giants D was so bad how did it hold the best offense in NFL history to half its regular total?

Lol, Thomas had identical stats, why shouldn’t he get MVP? Manning outplayed the GOAT in that game, sorry your bias is diluting reality.

So NY “got dudes” back from injury? Who exactly did they get back and what were their contributions that made their defense go from being ~10th to being better than the Patriots who were top 5?

Where so I get this “stuff” from? They’re called stats, maybe you should look them up instead of making stuff up. I’ll go with the QB who had an 87.3 rating against a better defense over the guy with an 82.5 rating against a worst defense. Maybe if Brady wasn’t a statue in the pocket he wouldn’t have been sacked so much. I showed you the video of Manning avoiding multiple defenders on the Tyree throw and he had to do that more than a few times that game, but yeah, let’s not give him credit for that. If that were Brady, he wouldn’t have been sacked more times than he was behind his own O line.

*Eli also outplayed your boy Romo in the playoffs, is that why you’re butt hurt about him getting the MVP?
