Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is reportedly prepared to take the appeal of his six-game NFL suspension to the court system, which could delay the start of the ban and make him available for the start of the 2017 season.

On Tuesday, Rob Guerrera‏ of NBC Sports Radio noted Pro Football Talk said there's a "very good chance" Elliott plays in the Cowboys' Week 1 game against New York Giants at AT&T Stadium on Sept. 10.

I was hoping Zeke would drop to me at the 10th pick of my fantasy draft because people only talk about the suspension but unfortunately we have a few Cowboy fans who knew about the case. Kind of a "duh" article isn't it!

Can they take it to court before the ruling on the appeal?

I think it's a given that Zeke is playing week one. Now I have to wonder if that means this team keeps four running backs and a fullback going into the season?

If they do, it only tightens things up offensively.

You want to keep RICO and four TE's.

Noah Brown and 6 receivers?

And it sounds like they'll stubbornly keep Kellen Moore and 3 quarterbacks.

Something's gotta give.

Yawn, we'll be fine with or without him. He obviously didn't cause us to beat the Gnats last year.

I got him in the third round. All the guys I play fantasy football with just mark it up to being a Cowboy homer (which I definitely am). I just couldn't pass him up in the third. I considered taking him in the second.

I'd say common sense will prevail and it's Moore.
