On Tuesday, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones addressed the situation with star running back Ezekiel Elliott after his reported involvement in an altercation at a bar over the weekend.

Per Kate Hairopoulos of the Dallas Morning News, Jones said Elliott is "evolving as he learns about scrutiny" and that commenting about a possible suspension by the NFL "would be speculation."

Jones also said he's spoken with Elliott regarding the bar incident from Sunday night but declined to provide additional details, per Hairopoulos.

Jones did note the takeaway for Elliott and other Cowboys is "your actions impact the entire team," per Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News.

Mike Fisher of 105.3 The Fan reported Monday that Elliott was involved in an altercation over the weekend. Dallas police confirmed they were investigating an alleged assault but that no arrests had been made and Elliott was not specifically mentioned in the report, via NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

TMZ Sports reported the man attacked in the bar incident was "involved in a verbal altercation with a woman" who was with Elliott's group, and Elliott stepped in.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Friday that Elliott will likely be facing a short suspension from the league stemming from an alleged domestic violence incident in 2016.

Dallas selected Elliott at No. 4 overall in 2016. The 21-year-old led the NFL in rushing yards and was named to the All-Pro first team as a rookie.
