My comment was more general rather than about a particular hire. We needed a new direction with a complete overhaul of the coaching staff.

Always liked his father, Dick Nolan.

Was a very good defensive coach under us.

With the defense looking to go heavy in the draft..getting this settled quickly let's McCarthy move on to the offensive needs immediately.
