yeah name all the third round guards we have been able to develope.

The only hits we have made since Free (and he is up and down) below the 1st rd in THIS CENTURY was Gurode.

Now we have hope that Leary will continue to develope but then again he was not drafted due to his knee condition.

It's not just the guys we develop, it's guys other teams spend time developing, too. Yes, Free (4th) and Leary (CFA) obviously both count. Mack was a 7th. Carl Nicks, who everybody wanted to give $60M dollars to, was a 5th rounder. Who else are you looking for? Kosier was a 7th rounder. Who else are you looking for that we played recently? Nagy? His career was lost to injury, not ability. Kowalski? He was an UDFA who, if anything, over performed his complete lack of draft status.

In any event, I was referring to Trai Turner with the 3rd round comment.

Bottom line is what have we developed. You can come up with excuses all you want but bottom line is bad.

Our problem was from 2005-11 (7 years) we only drafted 4 OL players before the 6th round and only 1 of them was any good i.e. Smith in 2011. Now we have drafted 2 high in the last 2 years and we have a ascending OL.

I wish I could figure out the moral to that story?
