IMO some of that rust was removed going against Smith every day in training camp alone with the preseason games.

Agreed. Maybe a couple pressures, but I'm not expecting some amazing debut. He hasn't played a meaningful game in a very long time.

I really don't think a few weeks off after training camp is going to make that much difference. Training camp is where most of the work gets done.
