Just a passing thought... I wonder where we would be with Brad Johnson at the helm?

The way our oline blocks, we would be just where we are now. QB and that means any QB needs blocking... Its just that simple..

Yeah-his play this year has been awfully surprising. No fan of Gruden, but he didn't bench him for Chris Simms last year for nothing.

However-this probably has been beaten to death already, but I doubt if even Brad Johnon himself can do much with sans Flo either. At least Brunell and Vick are lefties-maybe either one would be a significant upgrade now.

you know, I have read the local newspaper over the past few weeks and there is a high school QB with a great record with good numbers! I think Jerry should sign this guy up pronto!!!

GEEZ! Why is it everytime a QB besides Bledsoe is mentioned on the pre-game shows somebody has to post a "what if so-and-so is available next year?" or "what if this guy was our QB this year instead of Drew?" or "we should have signed him instead of going after Drew"

everybody wants the "flavor of the month" QB while they are hot. the bottom line is that Drew's performance has gotten worse as our O-line has got worse. everybody and their Momma that Drew needs better protection than the average QB.

Now, when Drew was lighting it up I don't remember anybody making posts about other QBs. maybe because that was when Drew was the NFL "flavor of the month".

Please, give me a break. If/when the O-line gets their "situation" starightened out things like Drew's performance will get better. Everything starts and ends with the level of the O-line's performance. It always has and always will.

A number of Vikings players got healthy and returned to the line up the same time Brad Johnson was forced to take over. I like Johnson and think his QB smarts really help him be a good back up at this time, but he is nothing great right now. He sucked against the Giants at the Meadowlands. The special teams and defense won that game for the Vikes. He has faced Detroit and Green Bay who are terrible teams.

Dallas would be worse with Brad as the starting QB. Romo or Henson would be starting by now because Johnson has a long history of injuries.

We'd be 4-8. Behind our Line he'd be on IR by now and Romo would be out there.

You'd have the likes of Dave Brown and or Jeff George signed.

Stop the madness.

FWIW-that NFL Network has alot of good answers to all these loaded q's.

For example, alot of people say Atlanta getting rid of Favre was their undoing. HOWEVER-the real truth is that Favre NEVER blended in with Glanville's style of play at all. So this argument is obviously moot.
