Not every word Parcells spoke holds true. Bradford situation is that of a player dealing with a lot of injuries and it has to weight on the mind.

It probably helps that Bradford got one of those huge rookie deals from the old CBA.

In his shoes I'd have thought about retiring too.

He has been dealing with major injuries since OU I would think after a while that wears on any player. Nothing fun about rehab and I'm sure many players in his situations have had to think seriously about retiring. I'm sure in his mind he sees the situation in Philly as a chance to start over and gives him hope for his future.

I agree 100%.

After re-reading the post you responded to, I realize it sounds pretty cynical.

I was trying to say that facing one devastating injury after another, combined with being set for life financially, would create a situation where most would at least contemplate retirement.

I don't fault him for that at all, and I hope he has success with his new team.

Except when he's facing the Cowboys, that is.

I understood what you meant and your right having big money in pocket has to play a part as well in determining his own future. Despite that he like many are so competitive they do not want to quit. As far as wishing him any success, he is in Philly and if they go 1-15 that is 1 win too many in my book. lol
