Bradie James is an idiot. Sorry but can't say I'm a big fan of him as a leader. His stupid inability to control his temper lead to a penalty in first half of 2nd game against the Giants could have cost us that game. Then he goes ahead and mouths off about Kitna disrespecting him just before the Detroit game; Newman also joined in to make some dumb comments. As a result, the Detroit team rallied around Kitna and came out fighting; something our defense certainly didn't do in that game which we again could have lost. Thank God our offense kept their cool in both games & got the job done. Frankly, I expect more from a leader then what I perceive we getting from Bradie James so far. He has a lot to learn from Zack Thomas about leadership & maturity.

Ummm, that wasn't Bradie in the Giants game. It was Burnett who got the 15 yarder which allowed the Giants to try and make the FG.

As for the Lions thing. I am proud to say I interviewed Bradie the day after the Packers game, Lions were up next, and was the first to get a little rise out of him about the Lions..

Bradie after the Packers game

He came out last season and played very well after having a so-so, if not poor, 2006 season.

If you don't see him as the team's defensive leader I don't know what to tell you, but he is.

I love his attitude in this video because he's not going to baby Pacman and that's what will hopefully lead to this kid becoming a man and 'owning' his life. This is a team game and one player will not make or break this season, that's basically what Bradie was saying.

I'm pretty sure Bradie got a personal foul in that second Giants game too. That was him who pushed Jacobs when Jacobs flopped on the ground.

Yeah I remember that flag and it was complete BS. Burnett's flag was the stupid one. He was yelling in Jacob's face as he was lying on the ground.

1-10-DAL 34 (8:12) 10-E.Manning pass short right to 17-P.Burress to DAL 28 for 6 yards (41-T.Newman). PENALTY on DAL-56-B.James, Unnecessary Roughness, 14 yards, enforced at DAL 28. 1-10-DAL 14 (7:44) 27-B.Jacobs left guard to DAL 9 for 5 yards (26-K.Hamlin, 56-B.James). 2-5-DAL 9 (7:05) 27-B.Jacobs right end to DAL 8 for 1 yard (94-D.Ware). 3-4-DAL 8 (6:21) (Shotgun) 10-E.Manning pass short right to 80-J.Shockey for 8 yards, TOUCHDOWN. 9-L.Tynes extra point is GOOD, Center-93-J.Alford, Holder-18-J.Feagles.
----------------------------

It was on a first down so I don't know if you could say it had an affect on the drive. We had them in a 3rd and 4 and could not stop them from the 8 yard line.

And I ain't even saying who was covering Shockey on that play, lol.

He's acting like the defensive captain, which he is.

Sorry but in my book a real defensive captain is mature enough to control his temper. You can call it (along with Burnett's) a BS call but on at least 1 of those 3 big defensive calls our player was warned to stop what he was doing but he ignored the ref & continued on -- hence the penalty. As for DCFANATIC being proud of getting that rise out of James, good for you but it's also an example of what's wrong with the media--creating controversy is the name of the game--exactly what is being tried by the media with TO & his contract.

We all criticize Crayton for talking smack but failing to produce enough to warrant it. During the week just leading up to the Detroit game, James talked some smack as did Newman, but where were they & the rest of our defense in the game; shoot, the Detroit offense shoved our butts all over the field & I sure don't remember either James or Newman being called for outstanding play. If Crayton can be criticized for talking smack but not produce enough to suit us when it counts (Giants playoff game) then it applies to James, one of our team captains, even more.

This team needs leadership, and James and Tnew seems to be willing to accept that role, I love hearing this.

And a damn good one too. James is a stand up kind of dude and played really good ball last year. I glad he's taking on the leadership role.

I'm surprised anybody would be critical of any player who would step up and say that they would welcome a player but that he has to do the right things and if he doesn't live up to expectations, he's gone.

This is merely saying what every player should be saying..not just James.

Look, Bradie had a a poor 2006 and took some heat for his play just like RW is now and he overcame it and improved and obviously is a leader for his actions amongst his teammates.

Anybody who would find fault with Bradie James acting this way or saying these things obviously doesn't probably know as much about our team as they think and who are the leaders.

It's not always the guys with the most rushing yards or the most catches.

Ellis calling out RW a couple of weeks ago is also being a leader, too. I have a hard time believing that comments like what Bradie James and Ellis are making public is not also coming from other players that just don't prefer to speak to the media about their concerns.

So just take it for what it is worth and move on.

After the 2006 season, Bradie James was last offseason's punching bag and rightly so. He had a subpar year, not bad, not great either, and downright ugly in some cases. He bounced back and had a strong 2007 season. While he laid a turd on Det game, he didn't do it in the playoff game. I don't have a problem with him speaking up...he just has to continue playing strong.

Crayton's mishaps in the playoff game are what is held against him, even tho his overall production for the season was really good for his role in the offense. But he's the new goat for 2007 now and will continue to be until the season starts.

I agree, but I think it's the bravado in his last statement about "having enough guys to get it done". I would like for Bradie and the guys to at least win one playoff game before they start telling me about "getting it done".

I don't see anything wrong with what Bradie James said. That's the kind of attitude our players SHOULD be having, and not just the leaders either. ALL of them.

I'm not sure what winning a playoff game has to do with being a leader or having that kind of attitude needed to call on your team mates to step up.

Interesting that Zach Thomas speaks highly of Bradie as a player and leader, but what does he know?

they both were stupid penaltys. until that game I was unaware a 240 linebacker could send a 265 pound rb flying and to the ground with one arm. example #1 the NFL is soft now. than you can't even talk trash anymore during the game(the burnett penalty) example #2 the NFL is soft now. oh and if we already had enough guys to do it pacman wouldn't even be a topic right now.
