Don't know if this has bee posted yet, but I wanted to mention that after listening to Bradie on the Road Show, http://www.dallascowboys.com/multimedia_center.cfm
gotta say its's hard not to like the guy. He's humble, funny and and "well spoken". Glad he'll be wearing that star on his helmet for years to come.

I don't know why this is such a big deal. Not very many football players are well spoken at all.

I like him too KD!

On a side note I gained a lot of respect for Michigan and Chad Henne when they played UT so tough in the Rose Bowl. I have to tell you that I am really pulling for them this year. If Texas can't be in it I want them to win. What he did to ND was awesome!

I agree this whole racist thing is absurd.

I saw him on ESPN commenting on the whole TO thing last week. He was very well spoken and I was impressed with him. He should be a Cowboy for a long time I agree.

I have seen plenty of white players that weren't well spoken also so I doubt he meant it that way.

I have 5 brothers, 4 of them plus Dad are HUGE UT fans.
My youngest brother is the only other UM fan.

I remember that game they played clearly. I was talking so much trash early on when Edwards was killing their DBs. Vince shut me up and broke my heart. :(

I got over it quickly because I figured my dad would not be alive for a rematch, being that they have played only once in 100 years, and he is a much bigger college football fan then me. :)

I actually was rooting for Vince really hard in last years Rose Bowl along with the family. That was an even better game.

Who knows, if UM goes undefeated (till the last week) and lose to the Bucks last week of the season, maybe we get another shot at UT?

:omg:

Chad Henne is much improved this year. He had off years, last two years, he kind of started to remind me of John Navarre with his accuracy issue. I don't know what changed this year, Chad has been pretty accurate this year.

I am really waiting for the Ohio State game. I don't think Michigan can win, but I think it might be a close one unlike last year. Oh, I am warming up to the idea, Chad might be a good NFL prospect too, while last two years, I though he wouldn't be. Lot of games left and that could change though.

Another really good Prospec will be Hart. Boy, that guy could be a great RB in NFL, if his College career is any indication so far, barring injuries.

If I misinterpreted I apologize I thought he was commenting on previous threads about being well spoken.

Chad is playing much better, but he seems to have poor pocket presence at times. He makes big mistakes when pressured, and needs to learn to throw the ball away instead of taking a sack or throwing picks.

I don't think they can take O$U either, but you never know. An int here or a fumble there early can change how the whole game is played.

UM does has a great Dline, (I think they could be the best in the nation) and a very strong running game, so the game should be close.

If they play like they did against ND, they can win.

If they play like they did last night, they are not going to be able to stop T Smith. Although having their #2 CB out for the game with a broken hand didn't help, they should have steamrolled the Gophers.

It's actually an old board joke, because a member did bring it up as racist. So anytime someone says that, it's like someone says that.

Not sure if stilltheguru meant it as a joke, but that's how I took it.

No problems we all misread posts at times. I agree with WG it was meant as a joke.

For the last time, bros don't care about the "well spoken" comment, except that they only use it when referring to black players.

I agree with you. Me and the fellas notice that all the time. Another one is, black QB's can't read defenses.. I hear that alot too.. It's crazy!!!

This could be taken as an expectation that black folks aren't going to be well spoken. I'm not saying that is what was implied - just explaining why folks react negatively to statements like that.

But let me ask -- would you read comments like this about an interview with Al Johnson or Kyle Kosier?

Being black myself, there is more of a perception of black people in general being less educated. But don't get me into the whole welfare state thing.

:)

And I have actually seen people talk about how stupid football players are in general, Black, White, brown ,blue ,pink ,yellow, green, etc. A lot of the time it isn't true. For instance Bradie James was a 4.0 GPA student. Football players that graduate generally have to graduate in SOMETHING, and, while that doesn't necessarily take genius, it takes some intellectual acuity.
