They play two positions that ask for different things, but I actually think Akin has been playing better than Bradie the past 5 weeks or so.

And Rich is right about the tackle numbers. I broke it down in a thread a week or two ago, and Ayodele DOES make more tackles than James when he is in the game. But he gets taken out in the nickel, when Burnett comes in. James gets a lot of his tackles in passing situations.
AdamJT13;1180034 said:Considering that Ayodele is removed when we go to the nickel (most often on third downs, sometimes on second or even first), the numbers are about right for him.
gimmesix;1180049 said:I'm probably too demanding considering Ayodele isn't in on third downs, but I would still like to see the player playing the Jack position top 100 total tackles ... and it doesn't appear Akin is on that pace.
AdamJT13;1180101 said:He's on pace for 98, according to the coaches' stats.
gimmesix;1180106 said:I was wondering what the coaches' totals were, since they always differ from other stat keepers.

Where are you getting the coaches' totals?AdamJT13;1180117 said:They have James for 36 solo and 38 assists for 74 total; Ayodele has 32 solo and 29 assists for 61 total.
AdamJT13;1180034 said:Here are those numbers, according to STATS Inc. --
FIRST DOWNS
Ayodele 28 (20 solo)
James 24 (16 solo)
SECOND DOWNS
Ayodele 21 (16 solo)
James 21 (14 solo)
THIRD/FOURTH DOWNS
James 14 (9 solo)
Ayodele 2 (1 solo)
TOTAL
James 59 (39 solo)
Ayodele 51 (37 solo)
AFTER COMPLETED PASSES
James 21 (14 solo)
Ayodele 13 (9 solo)
ON RUNNING PLAYS
Ayodele 38 (28 solo)
James 38 (25 solo)
Considering that Ayodele is removed when we go to the nickel (most often on third downs, sometimes on second or even first), the numbers are about right for him.

AdamJT13;1180287 said:Those are from msn.FoxSports.com. ESPN.com probably has the same splits.
