Patriots “Swing” tackle Brandon Gorin was the latest to go, as the starter at right tackle during the 2004 Super Bowl season was dealt to Arizona for an undisclosed draft pick. Word out of Arizona was that it was a seventh-rounder, that could become a sixth if Gorin meets certain criteria. Gorin played 35 games (23 starts) for the Pats since arriving as a free agent in 2003. He was made expendable by the play of rookie fifth-round pick Ryan O’Callaghan, who drew the start against the Cardinals and appears to have the inside track for the right tackle job heading into Opening Day.

The Cardinals reportedly gave up a seventh-round pick for Patriots T Brandon Gorin.

The pick can move up to a sixth-round pick if playing time criteria are reached. Gorin, a seventh-rounder in 2001, was passed by rookie fifth-round rookie tackle Ryan O'Callaghan on the depth chart.
