Jacobs out of Sunday's game

Giants running back Brandon Jacobs has been declared out of the Giants game Sunday night in Dallas.
Tom Coughlin made that announcement moments ago after Jacobs missed his third straight practice with an injured left knee.
"We just didn't feel like hed be ready to play," Coughlin said.
Derrick Ward will start in place of Jacobs. Asked if that meant Ahmad Bradshaw would get a little more work than usual, Coughlin said "Well see how the game goes."
LB Jonathan Goff (hamstring) has also been ruled out and DT Fred Robbins (shoulder) will be listed as "questionable".

Better Ward than Jacobs. Jacobs is a handful for any team. Ward isn't nearly as difficult to bring down. Esp by the men up front.

I think it's a wash with Jacobs and Marion Barber both out. That puts D. Ward vs. T. Choice and I see that as about even. For us to win, I think Tony Romo has to step up big and we're going to need to put a lot of pressure on Eli and not let him feel comfortable back there. GO COWBOYS!!!

Yes Jacobs is out. heres a list of all the questionable players...justin Tuck DE 12/10/2008 is questionable for Sunday's game against Dallas Questionable lower leg... Kareem McKenzie T 12/10/2008 is questionable for Sunday's game against Dallas Questionable back... Domenik Hixon WR 12/10/2008 is questionable for Sunday's game against Dallas Questionable ankle/foot... Aaron Ross CB 12/10/2008 is questionable for Sunday's game against Dallas Questionable ankle... its up to ward and bradshaw to step it up for the gmen. Have to see what happens with the questionables..

Ward is a nice complement but with Burress out and now Hixon, at the very least less that 100% and most likely out, Ward will find little running room cause Dallas can, and will without any doubt, put 8 in the box.

Derrick Ward will be the Giants' starting tailback in Week 15 against Dallas.

The Cowboys' run defense allows 3.9 YPC, ranking them 19th in the league, but has surrendered only eight rushing touchdowns this season. Ward was ineffective in his last spot start against the Cardinals, but remains playable as an RB2/flex. He's likely to dominate the workload over Ahmad Bradshaw.
