Brandon Jacobs shoving Ware

finnegan got some hits in. plus i give him respect for going after someone twice his size.

Yeah he sure did.

His face hitting Andre's hands and his butt hitting the ground.

The only thing he gained out of that was getting laughed at for even trying to act tough.

Which, btw, he didn't even attempt to do after that beating until the ref and other players had stepped in and he had plenty of people beaten them to keep him protected.

dude our players wouldn't even fathom stepping to AJ. at least the guy, at his size, threw hands with him.

jenkins would have blew out a knee and shoulder attempting that.

newman would pick AJ up afterwords and give him a love tap on the helmet.

scandrick would completely miss the fight and then start swinging in the air in frustration.

i'll take finnegan's scrappiness anyday of the week thank you.

I'm glad you would. Good for you.

You know what all that does for being able to play on the football field?

Zero.

Throwing punches at air, and then getting his *** kicked, can't and won't be able to make him do his job of covering AJ, or any other receiver for that matter.

None of that junk makes a football player a better football player and I doubt, very seriously, that there are any WR's in the league who are afraid in the least of him and his giant mouth.

In fact Brandon Jacobs would shove him around just so he could laugh at him swinging at air and getting kicked out of the game.

But hey you'd be cheering right? Cause man did he show toughness getting kicked out of the game while the bully was laughing at his pathetic attempt at being tough.

You beat bullies like Jacobs one way and one way only. On the score board.

It's the only beating that they remember or that lasts.

:laugh1: get off of your philosophical high horse. you're preaching to the choir with this. i am not discounting finnegan's ability to play. where exactly did i say i want finnegan strictly for his scrappiness? of course, he has to be able to perform too.

Which he's barely average at that. Which is why I don't know why you'd want him for anything. His scrappiness is meaningless, at best, and he's an average, at best, CB. In fact I'd be willing to bet people would hate him inside of two games after watching him give up pass after pass after pass to guys like Cruz cause all he'd do is remind them of a younger, less talented, Newman.

We already see Newman getting his butt handed to him enough. We don't need a guy here who would get used and abused even more.

On the rare occassions I've been able to watch them, and I will fully admit that I've not seen a bunch of their games and there will be plenty of people far more knowledgable on him than me, I never saw him play all that good, let alone great.

Any time he played against a good or great WR he was absolutely passed on all day long. In the NFC East, and the NFC in general for that matter, that doesn't exactly excite me.

From what I've seen of him the idea of having to stomach watching him go against Cruz, Nicks, Maclin, Jackson, Calvin Johnson, the whole host of WR's in Greenbay or New Orleans, simply doesn't set well with me at all.

You're definitely right about Randy White and probably Harvey Martin. Not sure about John Dutton - don't remember him as well.
Dutton came over from the Colts.

I was at a Monday Night game years ago, Dallas v Buffalo. Dirty Dobler was his usual fine self. I started noticing Dutton getting riled at him and started training my binoculars on the two. I got a close up look at Dutton hitting him high and Randy White hitting him low. Conrad was a bit shaky as they led him off the field. He came back into the game, but was a nice, polite young man after that.

Well how did watching Newman sit with you? I swear some of you guys see a dboy post and lose your minds.

i think you need to watch more titans games. he isn't nnamdi, but he damn sure isn't newman either. he would be a good 2nd corner next to jenkins.

ideally, i would have liked us to go after joseph, but jerry is jerry.

 The lack of respect for Ware on this board is uncanny.

Ware is a beast- from whistle to whistle on every down. He doesn't quit doing what he does- attack the ball.

I don't think anybody has, or should question that aspect of his game.

I don't think anybody here, or anywhere else, would expect him to retaliate in any way to what Jacobs did. It is not in his makeup. He isn't that type of a player. It isn't that he couldn't get back in Jacob's face, or possibly risk a penalty yapping back- it's just that Ware isn't made like that. He won't do it. Not a bad thing.

What is bad, is that everybody knows he won't fight back. Whether it happens to him personally, or to a teammate. Jacobs knew he was taking a cheap shot at somebody who wouldn't retaliate. That is why he did it. Not to demoralize Ware- because Ware doesn't care. But to demoralize other Cowboy players who look to Ware for leadership. He is a team captain, after all.

Punk Ware, you punk the whole defensive team. Mission accomplished Jacobs. By taking a cheap shot at one of the best people in the sport, and getting away with it- you sent a message loud and clear to the entire team, fans, and the GIANTS. Nothing to fear here, the Cowboys can be handled without repercussions. Here is the proof.

Imagine... what if Ware had gotten pissed? What if Ware had pushed back? What if Ware had gotten in his face and screamed at him in return? Would it have cost us the game? Not likely. Would Ware be ejected by officials who would have been surprised as much as Jacobs? Not likely.

Would it have fired up the entire Cowboys team? Probably. If Ware had drawn a penalty... Jacobs sure didn't- would the 15 yards have cost us the game? Not likely. Would it have been worth it to toss Jacobs message back in his face? Yes.

If you take that as an insult to Ware- I am sorry to you and he both. But that doesn't change what I believe to be the truth.

i'd like finnegan on this team. he gets under people's skin, that's his game. this team could use a player with balls and some fire.

Actually, Finnigan was guilty of hands to the face- Johnson was guilty of far worse. If being "owned" by Johnson means giving up 57 yards and a TD, then I suppose that makes him a "beast" on this team.

As our second or third CB maybe? With Jenkins, O-Scan and a D-line that gives them all the shred of a chance to defend the pass?

The Natural;4358528 said:

That's not what I saw. The guy is scrappy as can be. He had 75 tackles this year, 58 solo... as a CB. Wow- that is somebody who gets his nose into business often. He won't back down. Just a fact- he is like a Chiwawah.... doesn't understand his size. thinks he is the biggest dog in the neighborhood.

Is that what you mean? I'd be fine with him.

This team DOES need some fire. And obviously, Johnson had become a bit frustrated going against him even before the big "fight" took place. Johnson took the first shots in that altercation from what I saw. Shame on Johnson- getting so frustrated by a guy so much smaller than himself- maybe Johnson is bigger physically, but Finnigan's heart appeared to be a match for him any day.

Sign him up.... if we can afford to. :)

Jacobs resembles the trash that play in the NFL. Ware represents the class that others should aspire to be. What did you expect from trash like Jacobs?
Jacob's wife is fat. I'm talking lineman fat. ha ha

I cannot stand Jacobs. Wanna know how much I hate him? Let's just say if he suffered a career injury I wouldn't be shedding tears for him.

Oh....

I wouldn't even blink an eye if i saw his neck get snapped back. Followed by seeing him a few months later in a wheelchair drinking from a straw. Oh no, i might even chuckle.
