Vernon Hargreaves III – DC – Florida

Hargreaves is a third year junior who is highly rumored to enter the 2016 NFL Draft. In High school he was a highly recruited player who had offers from many of the best programs in the country. Had 31 total tackles and four interceptions this year. Has 10 career interceptions.

Size –

5’11’– 200 – 4.40 (all Estimates)

Strong Points –

Excellent size for a corner with good arm length. Has very good play speed and overall athleticism. Plays fast and is very explosive with very good jumping ability. Has a cockiness about him that says he can’t be beat. Has a fluid pedal and a quick turn and transitions very quickly. Will support run, has played some offense and has been used to return kicks. Excellent coverage skills and balls skills. Will support the run and can tackle.

Weak Points –

Will give too much cushion and be a bit lackadaisical at times.

Summation –

Hargreaves has been a starter since his true freshman year at Florida. Has all the traits needed to be a top cover corner in the NFL. Can play press man or zone equally well. Gets and keeps good position and plays the ball extremely well. Has excellent hands. Is very willing in run support, can take on blocks and is a sure tackler. He plays the game with a cocky attitude which is a good thing. Challenges receivers and looks to be having fun. He will be a very high pick and should come in and start right away for most winning NFL clubs.

Emmanuel Ogbah – DE – Oklahoma State

I've watched a lot of Ogbah and he reminds me of Ware coming out but I don't think he has quite the explosion or athleticism that Ware did. But can easily see him being a consistent double digit sack guy for many years.

That's the biggest I've ever seen Hargreaves listed at. Size was my one major concern with him. Love everything else about his game.

I feel like I've been saying this too much already for this draft class but....I just don't see it with Ogbah. I don't see the type of speed and burst for this guy to be hyped as a top 15-20 prospect at DE.

I highly doubt he's actually 200. Maybe he's been adding weight recently, but he looked closer to 185 the last time I saw him on the field.

As a DB I prefer him to Ramsey. Ramsey to me is no CB and is a solid not spectacular Safety. Not much of. play maker.

Hargreaves could be a Josh Norman type CB

I know it was only one game but the Wrs from Alabama had some big plays against him in the SEC championship game. Still I would not mind having him in our team.

I think Ogbah can be solid. May not be a star in the NFL racking up 10+ sacks every season but he could be a good starter like Greg Ellis. I think as a late 1st rounder, early 2nd rounder, he'd be a good pick.

I saw a report a few weeks ago that Hargreaves is 5'9, not 5'11. I've been wondering lately how his overall size could affect his draft stock.

This is why I have been saying for weeks his measurements at the combine will determine where he gets selected. He isn't going in the top 5-7 if he is only 5'9". It's just not going to happen.

When I saw that report I almost made a thread about it. That could be a big detriment to his stock. 5'9 185 lbs? Teams will definitely shy away from that. Jack and Smith could both end up top 5-7 at this rate.

I agree on Keivarae Russell from Notre Dame and a real player. This is a deep class wish better news about Jourdan Lewis declaring. I fell behind with the storms here in Big d so I have some media to watch, I missed due to the weather that damaged the metroplex and blocked some of the games with the storm updates. I think the top five with Lewis might be gone before our second pick.

I really like the safety depth this year, just need to decide what we are really going to do with Byron Jones and then we can figure out the depth. To be clear the top man VH III is a press/ man and in a tier above the others.

I think Ogbah could be a real stud at 3 tech DT. Same size as Ty Crawford coming out but much better ball awareness and instincts. His work ethic plus athleticism if at DT is off the charts could be force of nature inside.

Unless Hargreaves runs a 4.45 or lower, and comes in at 5'11 200 pounds, I really dont want to use a top 5 pick on him.

I suspect Hargreaves will hit 5'10" and 190 at the combine with electric speed. He reminds me VERY MUCH of Terence Newman.

Ogbah is not Demarcus Ware but he is really good. Ware literally played safety in college. Ogbah is not that quick or light. He is a very good SDE prospect. A slightly better Tank Lawrence.
