First let's introduce the Eagles organization. The Eagles were born in 1933, meaning they have 27 years of History on the Cowboys. The Eagles replaced a bankrupt team, the Frankford Yellow Jackets.
The Eagles are best known on this forum for two things. First their unruly and obnoxious fans. These fans often make them the most hated team for Cowboys fans. We'll never forget October 10, 1999 and the boorish behavior of the fans in Philly at the Vet.
The second thing they are known for here?

The Eagles in the post season have a 16-16 record, including 3 NFL Championships in 1948, 1949 & 1960. They also lost the NFL Championship in 1947 as well as losing Super Bowls in 1980 & 2004.
Still with no Super Bowl trophies Cowboys fans enjoy...

Okay, let's look at the head to head history. The Cowboys lead the all time series 51-40. That means that the Eagles would have to win on Christmas Day and sweep the next 5 years just to pull even in the series. The Cowboys are 30-16 in Dallas and 21-24 in Philly.
The Cowboys also lead the Post Season series 2-1. The Eagles won 20-7 in Philly in 1980 for the NFC Championship. The Cowboys won 34-10 in Dallas in 1992 in the Divisional Playoffs and again in 1995, 30-11, also in Dallas for the Divisional Playoffs.
The Cowboys inaugural year of 1960 saw the teams play one time. In every other year except the 1982 strike year the teams have played a home and home series.
In the decade of the 1960's the Cowboys record against the Eagles was 9-10. The Cowboys were 6-4 at home in Dallas, 3-6 in Philly.
In the decade of the 1970's the Cowboys were Daddy. The Cowboys were 9-1 in Dallas, 8-2 in Philly for a 17-3 head to head record.
The decade of the 1980's saw the Eagles play better and the series more even. The Cowboys still led the decade 10-9. The Cowboys were 6-4 at home in Dallas, 4-5 at Philly.
The decade of the 1990's had the Cowboys led the series 12-8. The Cowboys were 7-3 at home in Dallas, 5-5 in Philly.
Since 2000 it is all Eagles for the most part. The Cowboys are 3-10 for the decade meaning they'd need to sweep the rest of the decade to pull even. The Cowboys are 2-4 in Dallas, 1-6 in Philly.
The Eagles have swept the series 7 times. 1961, 1988, 1989, 1990, 2000, 2001, & 2002.
