Jerry Jones will finally be doing an interview this week at 8:00am cst tomorrow morning on 105.3 The Fan, but Albert Breer from NFL Network caught up with him at the NFL Owner's meetings...

@AlbertBreer

Talked some Cowboys w/Jerry Jones as he left the hotel here ... " I’m certainly disappointed for everyone concerned, surprised and I feel like we’re losing time here. We’re running out of time, even though it’s early in the season. If we’re gonna go, we’ve got to go now, and go hard."

Jerry also told me Wade's job security isn't an issue: "I’ve already talked about that. But nothing is impacting anything about our focus."
Sounds very disappointed. As we all are right now.

Sounds more like confused rather than disappointed...

Jerry has to be in fits. His dream of his team in a SB in his stadium. He has the horses he needs, and this is a one time opportunity for him.

Wade better turn it around cause if they lose a couple more, he will definately be gone.

He's still in shock.

If this team loses to Minny, I guarantee, and I'd be willing to bet the farm that a coaching change will be made.

Never been done before, and there is no good reason why it should be done in the middle of a season, win or lose.

At the end of the season, maybe...not in the middle.

Wade is the Captain of this ship....make him go down with the rest of the crew.

Were you willing to bet that after 44-6? At this point, nothing that happens will surprise me.

I swore after the 44-6 game that something would change, but I thought a lot like Jerry - that year we were a very banged up team. And even when we had a lot of our guys come back in December, they weren't anywhere near 100%. So I can understand why Jerry would give Wade benefit of the doubt.

After the 34-3 route in Minny, I figured Jerry would be so thrilled with the prospect of winning a playoff game that he would let it slide.

After the Giants embarrassed us when we had home field throughout. Then the Eagles. Then Minny. To start 1-4 in a year that many had us picked to have a home super bowl.

You've got to do something, or those seats in that stadium won't sell themselves. And we all know that's all Jerry cares about.

Jerry talks out of both sides of his mouth alot. If we lose Sunday it's hard for me to see Jerry not doing something. The lack of production from this team has to be a total embarassment to him.

I know...huh?

Jerry does not drink cheap crap like a shot of Jack!

Say what?

Doesn't Jerry always say that a coach's job is not on the line but then hires someone else?

He might do it tomorrow.

 What do we do if he does?

The team has been sold out for over 20 years in a row, including 5-11 x3, why would people all of a sudden start not buying seats?

They wouldn't. This is the Dallas Cowboys by the Jaguars.

And therein lies the real problem, IMO. After giving it some thought, I've come to the conclusion this whole thing is my fault.

Why? B/c I'm a fan and as a fan I'm also an enabler. Yes, I complain when they lose and want to see changes made - even go so far up the ego tree as to 'demand' changes.

Yet where do I find myself every fall Sunday? Watching the Cowboys. And do I sometimes even buy gear? Yep.

I've posted several times my 5-word mantra for this organization - nothing changes, till Jerry changes. And what will make Jerry change? Me.

If I somehow refuse to support the organization, Jerry will finally get the message and do the right thing to get the team back to the winner's circle.

The question is, "Do I have what it takes to force those changes?" "Can I actually boycott the Cowboys?"

I just don't know . . .

While I tend to agree with 5stars, I don't think he will do anything if we lose to Minnesota. Now if we lose to the Giants the next week, then Wade will officially become a lame duck coach.

I understand this sentiment, but I don't necessarily agree with it. I think though a change in the middle of the season won't probably gain more wins, it does allow the new coach to get to know the players very well (along with their attitudes, practice habits, football smarts, etc). This could prove invaluable for that new coach the following year to get in his mind what changes he will need to bring BEFORE the draft or ota's, etc.

It would jump start the next football season.

Not trying to argue with you but offer a dif. point of view.

I don't understand why Jerry would be in shock. He's managed this team in many different ways with many different people (coaches) over the last 15 years the only constant is HIM being "involved" in the day to day operations. You'd think he'd expect what's happening, I do.

Jerry's continual stamp on this team has been there consistantly over that time and that is: Apathetic play, undiciplined play and poor or just average coaching. Sometimes over the years all of these applied at once to this team and other times just one, but it's always been enough to keep them out of getting very far in the playoffs.

I'm not too sure what you do about Jerry, he's here to stay it seems. It's just the way life is for a Cowboys fan, it sucks. GO RANGERS!
